We've had our share of flawed stars in the past 15 years or so. After Dream's decline, all the stars we had were flawed.

    Francis: fool's gold talent
    McGrady: weak mind
    Yao: injuries
Harden and Howard: you tell me

Through this stretch, we've changed countless role players. Look at all the ex-Rockets throughout the whole league. And we were able to pass the first round only twice.

If the Rockets do indeed finish 32-50, does that mean they forfeit their 1st round pick to Denver?

You still don't get it? Teammates never got the credit while Harden claim the glory. Role players like Brewer got fed up and are rebelling this year. Why would they play hard just to cover for Harden's ass only for you to say Harden is winning by himself?

In many ways, Rockets won last year despite Harden... This was hard to bring up last year precisely because of your premise. So called enablers...

I do give credit to rocket's lucky wins last year to Harden's last minute shot making abilities. But the general issues were already apparent even throughout the past two seasons. It took us by surprise now when Harden turned dgaf to his ways to the extreme and then everybody else proceeded to also dgaf.

Morey valued talent over attitude, character, and chemistry, it's hard for him to install someone to reign in these values. Whereas those values tend to be a prerequisite for the Spurs and Ws. It works top down. For rockets, Morey is at the top, but he doesn't dare to reign in or touch on these issues. He's not willing to concede to his incomplete philosophy. He tends to overvalue talent, in his mind player like ty Lawson and Royce white are surefire "undervalued" "scoops"....

That would be a leap forward

We are sub par, below average right now

To me it's a binary decision: Championship or Ben Simmons. One or the other. Even if fully healthy, are we good enough to beat GSW or the Spurs? If not then, then Ben Simmons.
