    where's your evidence of that?

I can give evidence of Kobe or Michael Jordan or the Dream or Robert Horry closing out games and making key shots in the 4th quarter.

Seriously I find it embarrassing that ANY ROCKETS FAN who knows the history of this organization and its clutch players would ever argue that Tracy is a closer.

I mean Sam Cassell is 100000000000000000000000000x times the closer than Tmac is. Look at his record getting out of the first round on EVERY TEAM he's played for.

If tmac had played...Brandon Roy would still pop a jumper in his face.

    Salaries doesn´t match.

And San Antonio has to be crazy.

Ginobili is only gettable this offseason, because he is injuried with the same injury Yao had, after the next season starts the Spurs won´t trade him.

You either make it now, or let the train go.

Does winning the Finals MVP count as being a closer?

What the hell has Tmac done that's ANY WHERE REMOTELY CLOSE TO THAT?

why so we can lose by 40 against the Mavs or lose to Utah at home?

and is it our fault that tmac's glass boy self is not playing?

    nope.

Of course NOT! Without Manu, he even cannot pass the 1st round!

Man, i follow the Spurs, and Parker is not a closer.

Parker is a great scorer, but not a clutch one, he may have one clutch basket, but the closers in San Antonio are Ginobili and on a lower scale, Duncan.

Just look at the Spurs important wins on the PO, Parker could be subbed in the end of games at it would not care. Ball goes to Manu and he will pass to Duncan on tthe PnR, Finish at the rim, or kick out for a bowen 3.

And let me add something else, Parker winning the Finals MVP was more because of a matchup problem than himself, he played against Daniel Gibson, and Eric Snow (yes, Eric Snow). Duncan was doubled and LeBron was on Ginobili.

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO Tmac injury, 23 million player down, why the hell are people trying to trade yao for a closer when we basically got either a healthy tmac or money to play with coming up?

c'mon now, this isnt first grade...it's obvious we dont have THAT guy, yet we're still gonna take this and we'll have THAT guy soon..

Very smart. Both would be closing from the bench at this particular moment.

Parker is a closing good compared to many players, all of which are not closers.

Parker is not a closer compared to Ginobili, Duncan, Billups, LeBron, Kobe, Pierce, Wade... real closers.

Parker belongs with those people cause they actually made it to the NBA Finals and won.

That other guy who the truly delusional bizzaro basketball world people love absolutely doesn't belong on that list.

parker, but because brooks sucks and tmac cant play, not to finish the game.

Parker will make us better, no doubt about it, but the discussion of him being a closer has one answer only, and he is not.

if the Rockets got Tony Parker and they dumped Tmac on the side of the bus station.

The mayor of Houston would have to call on a parade and people would be in the streets hugging each other like we won world war 2.
