I don't post much, but this is just what I see the rockets lacking...

    A closer!!!

When the rockets win, it's because of disciplined team play on offense and hard nosed defense. The problem is, they don't play that way for 48 minutes! If aaron brooks and ron artest can just realize that yao and scola are the focal points, then this team will be alright. Until then, this team will always be sporadic. In the 4th quarter, the rockets closing plays should be pick and roll with yao, pick and roll with scola....nothing else!!! I don't want to see sideways 3 pointers from artest! I don't want to see three pointers from 29 feet away with aaron brooks!

Groundbreaking discovery. In other news, I've noticed myself becoming hot when I stand in the sun.

Rockets lack a superstar. There is no chance to win without a superstar or a reliable star on the team. Role players can only get you so far.

    Portland 4: 3.
    Rockets out like every year.

Like it or not, our closer is in rehab. His name is Tracy McGrady.

Tmac is on holiday. Ron can be shut off easily with double team.

For AB, just let him drive, he'll get blocked anyway since he can't pass to an open man, or Yao under the basket.

our closer is a guy who we have to wait 20 seconds to dump the ball who can't get the ball on back to back possessions to save his life.

We have always relied too damn much on defense and now this year its even more.

Our best closer is a guy that nobody is willing to give the ball too. He's 7'6 and 310 pounds and nobody notices him except for this guy

Exactly as many as Yao has.

Like it or not, this game shows EXACTLY why the Rockets need a T-Mac.

Tracy is only useful because he penetrates and the defense doesn't front Yao. Our best attacker to the rim is Kyle Lowry who just draws fouls and Von Wafer who just finishes.

We have no passer on our team who attacks, Shane Battier is our best passer sadly.

Show me a good offensive team who's closer was a post player.

You need to have a closer who can create from the perimeter, and is effective in ISO or pick-and-roll. Paul Pierce is a closer, for anyone who watched that Boston-Chicago game. That's the type of player we need. Brooks fits that description probably better than anyone else on the team, but that isn't saying much.

This league has completely changed due to the change of post play rules and wing play rules.

Duncan was the last closing big to ever play the game.
