    2-0 without Aldrich sounds better

Well, the Rockets are not the same team as they were 6 weeks ago. They are much better. Who knows how much improvement lies between now and the end of the season?

    THIS!

but on a serious note, the added size of DMo, TRob, and smith coming back is a serious plus. notice how many dunks we had yesterday? scoring in the paint off passes is something we havent done much of all season and yesterday it was a dunkfest. you can say spacing is a bit worse than before, but having the option to dump off to a big who can finish around the rim or even above it is plain awesome.

Then why even include them in the sample size period?

That's surprising to see. I didn't think we were that bad against the top teams.

So we're 29-12 against everyone else? That's pretty good!

yep. they always say good teams win the games they are supposed to win. But something tells me there are 10 teams with a better record against everyone else, too.

all said, our record is more impressive than most of us thought it would be.

hmmm so its more of a conference thing, I know our conference record is pretty crappy. I haven't looked at our remaining schedule but hopefully we don't have as many games against our conference rivals.

OP ignores margin of victory, scheduling, and the definition of power rankings.

But yeah, those teams are better than Houston except for Indiana possibly.

Would hate to face Clippers or Denver in the playoffs.

Feel like we could put up a better fight against the Thunder or Spurs tbh.

This team is so different than it was back in even Dec or even Jan. All but 2-3 of those games were back when this team was still figuring it out.

I think we'll do a lot better against top teams going forward.

What is the point of threads showing our Power Rankings as 4th in the entire NBA? To jerk off to?

what about the 2 wins we had over NYK?

Damn, wish we had more games vs them lol. They're on a losing skid right now too.

They're not one of the top 7 teams in the league currently, but I think they were when we played them. If my memory's correct, we gave them their first home loss didn't we?

I think we prefer to play Spurs or Grizzlies instead of OKC in play-offs, if we get in that lol. Spurs have some oldies, with a lot of injuries this season, and they can get couple of them before play-off starts, also grizzlies is on the same level as our team is after Gay left. To meet OKC in first round would be crucial, there is no chance we gonna get thru them. :D

A few of those games weren't exactly favored against us schedule wise.

For example, the first game against OKC was a b2b, when our players flew over to meet McHale to attend the memorial before flying back to play OKC.

The second time, we played OKC was at the back end of the 4 games in 5 night situation.

As for the Spurs, one of those games was without Harden, another was the third game in a 4 games in 5 night situation.

For the Clippers, the second game we played against them was without Harden, and the first game was during our losing streak.

So while I think this record does suggest the Rockets struggle against a lot of better teams out there, I feel like the poor record was exacerbated by unlucky circumstances.
