One can only wish that D Will will come here. Those glass ankles! Forget about it! He'll improve. Sure, he's getting fat and all, but he won't be a waste of money. He's totally worth that 20 million dollar contract. Once he's here, guaranteed championship. Just look at what he has done for the Nets.

 

Monta is balling this season. Cubana has forgotten all about DWill.

I'd take that but I'd want them to include Blatche too though it would cost us more (DMo, Brewer). Of course Morey could put another deal in place but we really need a backup for Dwight to keep from overusing him and I'm not sold on Greg Smith.

 

I'd take a flyer on dwill. If we could get 80% of what he did in Utah we'd have the best big 3 in the league.

 

Teams aren't going to make the opponents third or fourth option the focus of their defense. Teams are going to try and take away Harden and Howard and if another Rocket steps up and beats them then so be it. That's exactly the situation that Dwayne Casey described in the quote that I posted earlier in the thread.

Daryl: We envision Jeremy and Omer here long term and would love to keep them. (AKA, we're trading them by February or at the latest, in the offseason.)

 

Sometimes the plan is to let the big guy go off and limit the second or third threats. There's no one way to skin the cat.

 

I wouldn't mind Blatche as a backup center.

 

This is actually a better trade for the Nets, especially not with Brook Lopez out.

 

Too bad it didn't happen. It's good for both teams.

"discussed it" and "nothing came of it" means rockets called and said how about asik and lin for dwill and the nets said no. the only news here is that morey is willing to package both for a 3rd star... which isn't really news.

 

I agree, this would have been a good trade for both Teams. Nets get a C and a PG that will distribute the ball to their stars - KG, PP, and JJ.

While Howard gets to play with a lifelong friend.

 

Lopez hadn't been ruled out for the season at that time, I don't think. If anything would revive it, that'd be it.

 

It makes sense, but if I am Nets, I would try to move KG. I think in order to move KG, Pierce has to be packaged as well. Rockets will takes a cap hit, but for salary, just 2 million more for next year.

Rockets with Harden, Howard and Dwill locked in until 2016-17 season. This is it if Rockets wants a shot at the champion
