Don't know if Asik / Lin would get you what's left of Deron Williams. I'd only want him for a third team desperate for a name.

Hell, if Asik / Lin stayed healyhy, they could nearly win the Atlantic.

But this is all academic anyway.

Personally I wouldn't hold that comment against him. With *very* rare exception, the vast majority of players are "system" players.

Some systems cater to up and down players, others to post up players, perimeter players, PG's, big men, etc. Triangle, motion offense, Princeton... they all emphasize certain roles and play styles over others.

Just look at Pau in D'Antoni's system vs the Triangle.

Unless you're a true "swiss army knife" type of player like Lebron, results will vary tremendously. Landing on the right team, with the right roster and right coach is a much bigger thing than most fans realize or are willing to admit.

Deron just had one of those rare moments when he was being perfectly honest.

Coincidence that only New York reporters/sources have reported Lin being on the trade block? I have yet to hear anything from Woj about Lin at all..

 

I think these stuff happened a lot behind the scenes. I won't buy too much into it.

 

He might be laughing at the situation because of how tied up the Rockets would be. It's not like Dwill is good anymore. I mean, he's getting fat and his ankles always break.

 

It would not surprise me, simply because it didn't happen.
