This would allow us to keep Parsons right?

getting D will would be awesome.. he's slowed down a bit from his Utah days but we wont need that.. We need a solid PG who can run plays, set the tempo, wont turn the ball over and can handle some pressure and also hit the shot when needed. Dwill fits that bill perfectly..

Asik + Lin get errr done Morey

    Dwill
    Harden
    Parsons
someone other than Tjones and Dmo
    Dwight

+ any coach other than mchale = contenders

    hopefully the Net's get swept..

for those that are comparing this older slowed down Dwill with Lin are delusional..
Older, slowed down Dwill is still a lot more effective than Lin. He's a PG we can build our team around. that can bring the ball up the court and makes good decisions. A lot of those things won't show up on your stat sheet. Only thing is Dwill has a nasty contract but it would take the ball out of Harden's hands and allow him to be a true 2guard/scorer first. Less harden iso's please

Dwight still led the league in rebounds and was top 5 in blocked shots in his "down year" with the Lakers.

    D-will is a gamble.

Haven't given it much thought, but there might be something there.

he's way too over paid. 12 million? Sure, I take a week and think about it. 19 million? No way.

A couple things worry me about Williams.

First off that contract. The price and the length. Don't know the specifics on that last year that's not fully guaranteed, but for sure 2 more years at 40.8mil total is steep.

Second is that while I didn't watch a whole lot of Brooklyn this year I have heard they started to play a lot better when they took the ball out of Williams hands and gave Livingston more of the PG duties.

That's not to say he wouldn't be an upgrade as a distributor who can take care of the ball at the PG spot, but how much more of an upgrade? Especially at that price tag.

His 3 point shooting isn't great, but would probably bump up a little bit with the open looks he would get in our offense.

I guess I'm on the fence about that trade.

I'd be cool with it if D-Will agreed to spend the entire summer with Kobe Bryant & Lance Armstrong in Germany

There's some other loot over there in NJ may look good to swap

Will be interesting what happens to Nets this Summer

I watched enough of the Nets to feel that Livingston is an extreme bargain and DWill has turned into a lollygagger and is overpaid. I wouldn't want him but perhaps PJAX would take him for Melo?

Haven't watched him play at all for some time. Six, seven years ago he ussendto kill us. Just a baller. If WWilliams is not anywhere near what he used to be, I am not sure we would want him. Sure, that is one way to unload $30M, but is it the best way?

D-Will is 19,21,22MM the next 3 years FYI. That's a lot of coin.

I know the Rockets have had interest in the past, and this would be a classic "buy low" move for Morey considering the way D-Will is playing these days.

At a time it was a toss up between D-Will and CP3...but D-Will has gone pretty south since then.

Didn't Lowry eat D-Will's lunch in the last round of the playoffs and Lowry probably will get paid 8M per season in FA. D-Will doesn't look like much of a value in that regard.

One more thing about Williams - his hair will get weirder and weirder the older he gets and it could become a distraction for the team.

Deron Williams is a terrible defensive player, James Harden bad, and that's not an exaggeration

The combo of those 2 would be a catastrophe defensively.

KG is done, the way he's been playing this season he should honestly retire.

I said no. Dwill still have 2 or is it 3 years left at 19.7, 21, 22.3M (player option). Both Lin and Asik are off the book after next season. If it's one season, yes. But with that contract, yick....
