I reckon they are either looking at Lively or they will then speak to Detroit and Orlando to move up again to draft both twins. I would be delighted with either. Lively give us something different at center which ime talked about us needing. The Thompson twins seem inseperable. They do everything together. I think their biggest worry is being split up. Their natural chemistry is worth trying to move up for. If KJ and KPJ are moved on to acquire the pair then we haven't added additional young players but have got ones that would suit Udoka's style more on rookie deals.
Tired: Rockets draft their top pick’s childhood friend with a later pick. Wired: Rockets draft their top pick’s twin bro with a later pick
For the Amen truthers. Isn't it already out there that the team wants shooters. Adding the worst shooter in the draft at 4 doesn't make too much sense to me.
I think I posted this one right when the draft positions where finalized, but it still makes sense. To Atlanta #20 KMJ To Dallas Clint Capella J. Tate To Houston Davis Bertans Reggie Bullock #10
10 + other assets for Mikal Bridges or Franz Wagner. I don't see us drafting two young guys in this draft
Wemby, Scoot, Amen, Miller, Jarace, Whitmore. Ausar, Black, Hendricks, Lively are by and large the 10 prospects at the top of this draft. So which of the 10 is most likely to be there? Utah and Washington are both coveting PGs. Chance that Wallace also goes in the Top 10. So if Washington and Utah both draft PGs in Black/Wallace, then likely that one of Ausar/Hendricks/Walker/Whitmore falls to 10. My hunch is the Rockets really like Whitmore, just not at 4, and are liking the talk about teams being turned off of him during workouts. The Rockets walking out of the draft with Amen/Whitmore or Amen/Hendricks would be incredible. Or even packaging 10/4 and a Brooklyn pick and just getting Scoot. Hornets would then draft BPA at 4 (Miller or Jarace) and get a hell of a player at 10 still.
If they're smart they would be trying to get Gradey. Also, if the Rockets are still trying to move from 4 they are probably not as sold on the guys in that range as it is believed.
Based on how he's played for Orlando and the German national team I'd honestly say he's better than every player we have, except for Sengun (if you don't talk about fit). No way Orlando gives him up unless it's a really good package.
He's slightly more polished than Green. But he is operating with better pg play and spacing. Green still had the higher ceiling.
