Maybe Miller falls to 4 and then Miller and Black would make a good duo. Bufkin might be a good option in that scenario.
If true, this could be pointing to a lot of different things. Could be looking for ammo to move up for Scoot. Could be looking to add a big at that spot—either Lively or they think Walker or Hendricks could drop. Could be so enamored with Whitmore after his workout that they're trying to get both guys. Maybe they use No. 10 to move up a few spots? Could be looking for a higher pick to make a deal for a veteran they like? Regardless, I'm a fan of any of the options above. The Rockets have a ton of assets. It's time to start consolidating those assets to get higher-quality talent one way or the other.
Moving up to 10 with KJM or KPJ would be ideal. He’ll why not both but that would mean gettting back some salary from the Mavs right?
I guess it would be KJ, Tate and 20. Any of Holiday, Bullock, Powell or Kleber would be nice to pick up as backup role players in the trade too.
I mean sure but I rather take my chance at a prospect at 10 than Tate who is what he is and KMJ who I actually like. If they get both, I can see it. I just think there has to be a team out that that can give them a better player for that pick.
6 10 11 plus some combo of christopher tate martin garuba porter would probably get us three or four of black hendricks coulibaly podziemski lively tyus dick plus future draft capital
I think the 1st 9 picks are Victor, Scoot, Miller, Amen, Ausar, Cam, Walker, Black, and Hendricks, and that there is a drop off between those guys and the next group. I'd not bet on any of those guys being there at 10, though as a whole one of them probably drops.
That could be very true. Especially Tate for sure. I hope it happens. Like one poster said, if we take Bertans, I could see the appeal for the Mavs. Also maybe the Mavs don’t see a big gap between 10 and 20.
What if they ask you to take back Davis Bertans’ contract? Willing to eat into the cap space? 2023-24: $17,000,000 2024-25: $16,000,000 Spoiler Or Tim Hardaway Jr.’s deal? 2023-24: $17,897,728 2024-25: $16,193,183
I think it'll take more than that, too. Likely a future first and/or taking back an undesirable contract. But between all of the Rockets' assets, young players and cap space, I have to think they could create an offer worth moving up to 10 for. I just have no clue what they're trying to do with that 10th pick.
stone is willing and likely to move out the 2021 draftees except jg/alp in order to draft a couple extra skill players in this draft and extend the rookie contract window an extra 2 years beyond that 2021 class
