I always thought he was the most prepared coach of the three, and suspect that the season could have gone different if he had taken the team instead of mediocre JB. Good luck for him.
Not sure what to feel. I always thought that if he were as good as advertised, that we wouldn't devolve into isolation plays at the end of every game. But coaches seem to think he's legit when speaking about him.
When players devolve and blow the offense, no coach can stop it. Even D'Antoni said it happened to him in New York.
I suspect that he was the head coach in training, but McHale probably recommended his timberwolves connection JB and then we went and hired MDA, so that was the end for Finch. He probably wanted out
Don't think he deserves to be berated like this. Seems like a good guy who gave all to the organization. Best of luck to you Mr. Finch
Adelman left because Morey forced Finch to be his assistant coach, and Adelman wanted to choose his own staff. That is why he left to Minnesota.... It was not a smart move to force an assistant onto a Hall of Fame caliber coach like Adelman. DD
