not only that CCR he is also trade bait in that 3rd year as an expiring deal....so we would only have him for 2 years and maybe a half of another
NO. I've been watching Wizards ball for 6 years now. Caron Butler is the closest thing they have to a superstar there and he is extremely popular. He's as close to untouchable as it gets. There's nothing, outside of Yao, that we can offer that would even get a nibble from the Wizards. As for ppl crying about Carter's contract... many ppl have responded already... theres only 2 years left. This fits our time line for Yao, McGrady and Battier. Why shouldn't we do it? DM is already trying... so I think we should stay hopeful that it's on the table and that DM sees something in Carter that the rest of you arent.
Rockets and Cavs interested? I say a 3 way trade. Rockets trade Tmac to Cavs for Lebron, and then Cavs trade tmac to New jersery for Vince carter..Everybody wins...
Im ok with this trade. TMac will come off the books after next season, which will still allow us to pursue the numerous big name FAs right ?
I said I'd want Rip in a Rockets uniform. Where did you read that I didn't? And, about the contract situation, I read the above post and took it as truth, mah baddd. If he's got 2 years on his contract left, that changes things to a great degree, but I don't like McGrady and Carter on the same team. And if Barbosa flourished in Phoenix's system because he could cut and shoot, then he really should be awesome here, too. I just don't know if I'd want to deal Artest to Phoenix.
How much is Carter making the next 3years? He is not the solution. He is a PANIC response. Look what happened with J. Kidd and the Mavs last year.....This would cost the rockets too much in the end just like it did Dallas.
Not max money. He took a pay cut. It's close to max money, but a couple million per off. He signed a 4 year, 60 million extension I believe.
MAGETTE is younger, more athletic, and is more efficient. And his contract is cheaper per year. Let the Cavs have him. DD
