If we demand that Yao plant in the low post, and back people down, we will see his turnovers go up.
Yao putting the ball on the floor is not an option at all times, as defenses are ready to swarm him as soon as he does so.
Entry passes are likely to get picked off too. We can't force feed the low post all the time. Yao will get fatigued faster, and be less effective.

I think a good mix of Yao's high and low post is good, maybe he'll average more effective minutes a game. Even if some of his shots are from longer range, he'll hit them at a clip better than most of our other long range chuckers. So, even if Yao's percentage goes down a bit, the overall team percentage may improve.

Guys youre getting it all wrong. I like it when Yao plays the elbow for about 10-25% of the time. I think it gives him some rest and allows him to do some other things.

My concern is that when Yao IS in the post, hes not using that to his advantage and attacking the rim more with the ARSENAL we KNOW he has.

I totally agree on it. If yao could play some dirty, he definately would be the crutch player. Especially, yao should play dirty back if other teams played dirty (intentional foul) to him. In fact, not only yao, but every player in Rocket team need to play dirty at that time. If the rocket team could do that, we would not lose the game with Mars on Toyato Center for sure. The rocket team would win the Championship.
