My point was that Patterson and Landry are much too different to really compare. However, if I were forced to choose between them, I would take 2Pat. My order of preference in PFs to back up Scola is 1) Hill 2) Patterson 3) Jeffries and 4) Hayes. Obviously Hayes is my odd man out.

I agree with rhadamanthus and others that we have very little chance of signing Dampier, but, if we did, Hayes -- much I as love his game and personna -- would be my choice to shed.

As far as a trade for Carmelo Anthony, Denver would demand Hill be included in the trade rather than Patterson because Hill easily is the better player with a far greater upside. Losing Hill and Budinger for a very talented headcase is risky. I'd do it, but my very soul would be troubled by the decision.

 

Why are you pissed? Even if there is a trade in the works and we do lose those three players you have no idea who we might get in return. Way to prematurely ejaculate your emotions.

As much as I do not like Dampier, it's not a bad move on the Rockets behalf simply because of Yao's history.

i don't care if we get dampier or not, but i would expect him to take the miami offer. it's less money, but he wouldn't have a logjam at his position. oh yeah and he gets to play with wade and lebron.

 

I wouldn't mind, if we can get him below his market value, due to the current situation. Look, Boston is stocking up on 7-footers, so Miami is trying to do the same now.
