so is he signing with us or what

he says he wants a good shot to contend, we at least have a better chance to contend than the Bucks, Raptors, or Blazers

LMAO this is a perfect example of what players are doing with the Rockets. First Miami and Houston was the top two. Miami told Dampier we don't want you. Well that leaves Houston... nope! That leaves nothing because he was just saying and using Houston to get Miami to pay him. This is Erick "freakin" Dampier!

we are offering a limited backup role that will dimish as Yao returns to form. others are offering more playing time but are worse situations as far as w/l's.

i don't blame the guy for weighing his options. I also doubt the rockets are pining for his services. he would fill a very specific role this team could use. He can also fill that role better than any other current unrestricted fa.

I do hope he signs with Houston. This could also be Dampier's way of not having to go through training camp. With a healthy Yao or not this guy has to realize he is 35 years old but that goes without saying this guy probably never realized he wasn't the 2nd best center in the league... even after Miami rejected him.

Why dont we have Eric Dampier in a Rockets uniform photoshopped on our front page like Carmelo Anthony!

Whats the latest Dampier rumor? Is New York his only interest?

We've gone from waiting on Bosh to waiting on Dampier. God, what a crappy Summer.

No, nor does anyone seriously believe that. What he does do, and he does it extremely well, is maximize assets while minimizing risk.

Yeah, but sometimes you have to take risks in this league and even in business in general. He took a risk with Artest and that led to the best season we've had since 1997. But what's the use of accumulating all of these assets if you can't put them to use?

Looks like he's either signing with the Raptors or Bucks. Can someone lock this up please. I tired of seeing it on top. 500 replies on a scrub. You kidding me. Must be long summer for Rockets fans.
