I can respect DD's optimism, but reason and history has led me to believe that Yao can't be depended on for a championship run. His body just can't hold up and his luck is terrible.

I don't think he's ever made it through an 82 game season in the last 4-5, correct me if I'm wrong.

This is also hampering our quest for a big time free agent. Do you think that Carmelo for example wouldn't want to come here if he had the same Yao from 2 years ago, of course he would.

Does he wanna come here to play with the new Yao aka. Mr. 24........hell no.

Yao is a nice guy and everything, but I'd like to see results from our franchise player and it hasn't happened.

He and Tracy are similar in that regard, they simply can't hold up enough 2 get the job done

    :(

You might be right, I won't deny that, but he has a contract, we have one more year, and this is the first time they have started to intelligently limit his minutes...not just in games, but in practice.....I expect the practice minutes to be a good portion of the problem...

So, if you can somehow learn to manage his feet, then I think we are good to go.....and if not....it is only this year anyway.

@STEIN_LINE_HQ With Fesenko bound for UTAH, sources say HOU has resumed its pursuit of Erick Dampier, who's also getting interest from MIL (via @samickAOL) 45 minutes ago

He is only doing what he should do, consider what is best for himself.

Come on Assid, you need to get off the ledge for a while.

He needs to give us an answer ASAP! Either sign the contract immediately or take your talents to Wisconsin.

Does he know he just cost us a chance at another free agent?

Yeah, but his life just cost us another one!

Surely even the 2nd best center in the league has sympathy for others! :p

    Who? Fesenko??

The Jazz were always going to match on Fesenko. THAT is why the Rockets never even made Kyrylo an official offer.

Seriously, dude. Calm down. The Rockets are doing just fine without Erick Dampier as their third string center. Would he be nice? Sure. But it's no reason to get so emotional that the Rockets cannot pin down Erick Dampier to make a decision to sign with the Rockets for about $680k above the league minimum salary.

Hurry up and make your decision already?

I mean, is he gonna televise it on ESPN2 and call it "The 2nd best Decision in the League"?

I really don't care if he signs with the Rockets or not. I prefer to trade for an upgrade, not some washed up Erica.

No need to worry about end of the roster decisons. There will be other candidates. If the team's success depends on who they spend $2 million on, they got bigger problems than $2 million can solve anyway.

I trust Morey because his heart is an open highway, and, like Frankie said, he did it his way.

Then what are you b****ing about?

I think the only reason they even want Dampier is to give Yao someone big to go up against in practice.

And Katie Perry vacilates between Skank and hottie !

I personally think we should drop Erica like a bad habit and try to trade for Nene.

I personally prefer Tim Duncan. But Nene will work.
