Oh my god Chino, just stop! I don't think I can take the extreme disappointment when the Rockets never get these jerseys. Awesome work though!
1. It's not B.S. There is a moratorium on black jersey's issued by David Stern, as part of his plan a few years ago to clean up the image of the league's players as viewed by the general public. This from the same Czar that has imposed an off-court dress code on the league's players, so this moratorium should not surprise anyone. 2. Toronto you say, eh? Well, look at it logically. Their main team color pantones are Red, White, and Black. They clearly have no other choice for an alternate so NBA Properties couldn't possibly deny their application. 3. The Rockets arent alone. Why else do you think Knicks don't have an alternate uniform set?
Love the design except for one little detail... The jersey trim is of the same design elements as the current Bucks jersey's. Only difference is the trim on the Bucks shorts tapers outwards...
That's because when a Celtic puts on his jersey, there's a lot of history behind it. I'm sure there are several people out there who would argue that jerseys don't affect how the pros play, but I beg to differ. I'm sure there is a psychological factor with the jerseys. Ask KG. I'm sure he'll tell you he felt like an NBA legend wearing a Celtics jersey. I can't say how he must have felt with the T-Wolves jersey... I mean... you remember that game where he beat us last season and he was screaming, grabbing on, and pointing to his Celtics jersey don't you? I don't want sound like I'm quoting Batman Begins, but we want jerseys to represent a symbol that cannot be destroyed... I mean... represent a team that cannot be defeated.

Heck, if New Orleans can have their little purple saint logo, and Boston can have a clover, why can't we have an alt. logo? I like the stripe too. Similar to what the Lakers did when they redesigned their jerseys in 2000. I'm assuming the front looks the same like your first post right? You just used this new pic to show greater detail from the side? Oh, and I just couldn't help myself.

honestly, you might be on to something here. slight tweaks and we could easily bring back the mustard yellow. here's ideas if anyone wants to start 'shopping... modernized championship colors at home: white jersey, red letters, red main trim, yellow secondary trim, red R... black alt road jerseys: black jersey, yellow letters, yellow main trim, red secondary trim, yellow R... gray alt jerseys: ash gray jersey, yellow letters, red main trim, yellow secondary trim, yellow R...
I'm down for this jersey. It's about time the Rockets sported a unique look. I don't mind the current jerseys they have, I just wish they would make the shoulder cut not as wide as it is. And I wish they would change the material from shiny to the kind worn by the Lakers or maybe the kind shown on the new Magic jerseys. What I don't understand is that the Rockets use White/Red/Silver and then a black background underneath the font and they even wear black practice jerseys, black shorts, sell black tees, etc... yet why doesn't the court have any black on it at all? When they redesigned the court last year, they should have made the lining around the free throw line black instead of the hard the see silver. But I guess then it would look merely identical to the Raptors home court (except for the red around the baseline).
I don't remember, but was there a main reason the switched to the pajamas in 96? How random was that? Especially after winning 2 championships... Talk about preserving your image.

I'd like if we can go old school you know, wearing 94', 95' jerseys in the honor of Clutch City sometimes. Everything else is daydreaming altough those jerseys look slim.
