Aslong as it's not a trade for Dwight then this sounds good. We don't have another true back up center and this can be a good saftey if Dwight ever suffers more injuries and his knees. He could come off the bench nicley at C and PF. Come playoff time a josh smith, Lopez and Dwight lineup would be scarey big Aslong as josh smith doesn't jack up shots because he's at sf lol.
How I'd imagine Morey in his office right now. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/HWLCSiyG6uw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Can this "pulled off" of Nets means an trade w/ Rockets but only viable in trade deadline? Means including Shved or Brewer?
Rockets aren't going after Lopez. They are going after Dragic with Lopez. There is no freaking way that they would trade Brewer at this point after what he has done for the bench.
Didn't want OKC to get Lopez for peanuts...Drove the trade price up and mad Brooklyn fold...#InMoreyWeTrust
Not a fan. Thank you very much. I did suggest a 3-way trade with him going to Phoenix and Dragic brothers coming here weeks ago. And if you peruse my post history you will see where I suggested we may have to acquire a player that is not a perfect fit to keep one of our championship rivals from making a championship winning move. I do think we need one more big man to backup Dwight. Either a big boulder like Perk that cannot be rooted out of there to help against guys like Duncan. Or a long athletic guy like Hassan Whiteside that can give us solid backup 5 minutes against giants like Duncan and Robin Lopez. That's why I mentioned Chris Andersen yesterday if Miami falls out of the playoff picture. But the more I think about it the more I don't like that either. We simply can't afford to add another poor free throw shooting big. I'd rather find a big with great size that can use his size defensively that can also shoot free throws. Somebody like Tyler Zeller (would have to give up a first) or perhaps Alexis Ajinca (probably unavailable but would take him for a second rounder). Steimsma makes sense to me if we could pry him loose. Honestly I wish we had signed Whiteside andi didn't feel the need to get another giant. I just think Dorsey is to small to be anything besides a foul machine in the playoffs.
Lopez at PF would be horrible. Teams would kill us with in PnR and any play that has Lopez out of the paint. Offensively it would work, but our defense would have issues
We already have too many PF's as is and the Rockets wouldn't be interested in paying Lopez 16 mil next year. As it stands, we don't have enough minutes to give to Jones when/if he returns, why would we pick up another big?
Yeah, it's stupid. It'd be like trading Harden while his value is high... This really has to be more of a move to screw up the value OKC has to pay.
