Brandan Wright >>>> Brook Lopez Alex Len's upside >>>> Brook Lopez Miles Plumlee, at his price >>>> Brook Lopez, at his price Dude, Brook Lopez is not a valuable trade chip, you will see. Brooklyn is not going to get much for this guy. There are at least two bigs on Brooklyn's roster who are better (KG and Mason Plumlee) and Brooklyn isn't even very good!
Eh I don't agree. Cost for dragic should be around the value of a late first + a couple mid/late 2nds (see rondo trade). the NOP pick is around 13-14 and Lopez is worth a 2nd IMO. You might need to add a little more but not much more Id say.
After Harden, to be released in movie theaters 2025 130 minutes Horror R Rated After Lopez, on demand, 2015 6 minutes Mystery, but predictable ending PG-13
So just to be clear this is the same guy people are up in arms about OKC getting and how he'd be a game changer for them. Also the guy who would have been the center piece in trade for Dwight to Orlando. I think he has more value than you think to GM's in the league.
He's an upgrade over Perk, but that's not saying much. I think you'd have a hard time finding anybody who thinks Brook + a late first rounder is anywhere near worth Gogi.
Perhaps but the point is perk's expiring + lamb wasn't enough for bkn to give up Lopez. Plenty here thought the asking price should at least include Jackson. Which ought to be at least some indication of his value....
OKC is not looking like a team that will even make the playoffs. Too many guys getting major minutes who simply aren't very good. Dion Waiters sucks. Reggie Jackson is very inefficient, turnover and mistake prone, a true chucker. The fact that somebody in this organization sees Brook Lopez as anything special says a lot. OKC is freaking out about the increasing likelihood that Kevin Durant walks in 2016, and Lopez is a last ditch effort that will not work. So, yes, many may worry that Lopez makes OKC significantly better, but I am not. I just hope Morey does not trade for Lopez, what a mistake that will be!
Heck I say let Capela play about another month or so in the D League, bring him back up and call it a day. He looks good right now. His main issue was the speed of the game and he said weeks ago he feels like he's got a better grip on that. The dude is a MONSTER that can give us a few minutes a game defending the rim.
I'm guessing Morey's probing is more of something just slightly better than Lamb+Perkins. Which might just be Papa+Terry+Dorsey. I really doubt Morey's giving NJ actual prospects, but simply that he's willing to take on the salary dump and give them something better than Lamb. And Papa has more potential than Lamb at this point, while Terry's less useless than Perkins. People are coming up with overpays here. Morey's not using any 1st rounders or Capella or Jones here.
Lopez not getting much love.... Offensively very gifted. Sure, he offers very little in defence, but despite all the criticism of him shootinfg from 16 feet, he managed 26 points in just 23 minutes tonight. Motiejunas hasn't scored 26 in a game in his career. Yet we all (rightly) consider him offensively gifted. Lopez is a career 18ppg guy on 51% (despite shooting away from the rim). Defence is poor, but he's worth more than some are giving credit for. How many 7 footers average 18 on their career? Or even 15 a game like he is this season? Pretty sure it is just Davis, Gasol, Nowitzski, and Duncan. Of those guys, only Davis has a better FG% than Lopez (despite Lopez operating away from the hoop...)
Makes sense Howard provides D and Brook provides O and less rebounds Together unstoppable, apart they are just very good players
i dont watch him much but he killed us in that PO series 2 years ago stepping up after wb injury... last year he also saved OKC from losing to Grizlies... he used to be clutch player...
I really don't see why the Rox didn't try to pick Wright off waivers. His athleticism was Anthony Davis Lite right there.
Brook Lopez as a back-up center would be great, better than Dorsey or anybody else in recent Rockets history. That being said, his salary and what we would have to give up is too much.
