There ya go. I liked this kid while he was playing next to Dominic James. He has some athleticism and shot, his defence speaks for itself in his accolades in college. I wish we could have picked up Wes Matthews, he was a steal for the j*zz I liked him coming out even more.
You never know I guess, but I don't think so. My guess is if McNeal was good enough to fill a spot on the Rockets roster after a trade, he'd likely have stuck with one of a handful of garbage NBA teams by now.
Just read his bio and DraftExpress has him compared to Shannon Brown of the Lakers. Hope he pans out that way. A solid 6-3 guard can score and defend. STRENGTHS: - Transition play - Ball-handling skills - Commitment to playing defense - Pressure defense - Physical Toughness - High-level productivity - Solid passer - Athleticism - Wingspan - 3-point range - Ability to catch and shoot - Ability to come off screens - Ability to shoot off the dribble - Quick release WEAKNESSES: - Off-ball defense - Size for position From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jerel-McNeal-1161/#ixzz12BWUJjNy http://www.draftexpress.com I feel like a major trade is about to go down, but that's just me.
Who knows, but by eminent trade, I didn´t meant a big one, let´s imagine, Taylor for a draft pick, if by any chance our staff isn´t happy with what Taylor is doing. If that happened it would be nice to have a 3rd SG just in case something (injury) happened. But hey, pure speculation, but every time Morey does something, it is hard not to think he is planning something, even if that is a long term thing PeAcE
Doubtful on the first point...do they have to sign him to give him a look? Second bullet makes the most sense. Perhaps they see him as someone they may want to call up at some point in the season, so have him there for practice a few times and ship him down. If they needed bodies, then they wouldn't have made the cuts they already made. Of course, i don't know what positions they made cuts in. Possible on the last bullet I guess. What do they owe his agent?
I think Dubious and Clutch nailed this one. Daryl Morey and Gersson Rosas are taking advantage of the new D-League rules allowing NBADL teams to designate up to 3 players from its parent clubs' training camps as "exclusive rights free agents" (or something akin to that). Since the Vipers already have rights to both Mike Harris and Antonio Anderson (and since Alexander Johnson's D-League rights already belong to Sioux Falls), the Rockets/Vipers want to get tabs on another interesting player. I bet this guy doesn't sniff the NBA regular season. This was simply creative roster management by the Rockets/Vipers.
And what about Taylor??? Or Paterson??? Do you think they will "sniff the NBA regular season" with the amount of good players we have???
Or Ish??? We have so many players many, it will be nasty for mins this season, it can be good, or bad, if someone starts talking... PeAcE
Dude, you might wanna change your sig.. Jermaine is just not that good and he's gonna see around 0 playing time this season.
can't have enough defensive focused players.. I can't think of anyone on our team besides Chuck and Shane that I would associate with defense.
