    OK, maybe not. But I'm curious to see what Adrian brings to the mix -- especially since our D has been slipping lately.

    Rockets activate G-F Griffin, place G Wilks on IL

    February 4, 2004

    HOUSTON (Ticker) - The Houston Rockets on Wednesday activated swingman Adrian Griffin and placed guard Mike Wilks on the injured list.

    Griffin had yet to play this season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in September. The 6-5, 230-pounder has averaged 5.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in four NBA seasons.

    Griffin, who signed with the Rockets on August 7, will be available for Wednesday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

    Wilks was shelved with right foot plantar fasciitis. The 5-11, 180-pounder has averaged only 1.3 points in 18 games this season.

    YES! It's about time! Glad to see wilks is out of the linup. I want to see if AG can bring anything to the Rockets other than bill.

    I hope we see him play some minutes tonight. I think A. Griffin can bring some very positive things to the table for the Rox. I'm sure it'll be limited action, but I'll be glad to have him in the rotation over the next few weeks to help stabilize our D.

    I just heard on PTI that Nick Van Exel has said he is going to retire after next season unless he can play a for a Texas Team. The guys then said Houston could use him right now.

    They put Wilks on IR? I thought they had a extra roster spot with the Weatherspoon trade and Eddie Griffin being cut from the roster.

    i thought NVE current contract doesn't expire till the end of next season which is so far away... NVE may well have none of his knees left by then....

    if he was really serious he shoulf use his chance to opt out after this year... but i guess those millions are more important than playing where you want
