I am with you. How can we possibly guess what potential he will realize?

But I do believe he has the potential to be/have:

    1) A serious rebounder
    2) An above average defender
    3) An above average post player & finisher
    4) An average jump shot
    5) And who knows, if Pat can develop a 3pt shot, why cant Robinson?

I suppose the trade happened because of his tool set and athleticism. How far that takes him only time will tell.

Count me on the side of those who hate this trade. Just hate it. Hated it at first, and everything since the trade has only enforced that opinion. The reasons have already been given, so I'm not boring ppl rehashing those. Just going on record.

Do people that hate the trade assume that we were going to sign Patterson to a long term deal this off season?

Tonight is proof that time is needed for a 21 year old player who's raw. The dude can play.

Not to mention D Mo was great on defense tonight as well.

The trade will continue to look good for the Rockets especially in the long-term.

Missed the game but see Robinson had 10/8. Just mop up stuff or did he actually look decent?

D-Mo did an awesome job containing Dirk. Evened Dirk's score and outrebounded him. We had lost 9 in a row to Dallas before tonight's blowout. Needed that. No more buzzer beaters.

Mostly got his stats in garbage time, maybe it is because he got the ball some and that could have motivated him a bit.

On defense though he was more than solid. Got two steals in meaningful minutes, rotated well again, he wasn't a liability out there in meaningful minutes at all.

Looks like he's taken away some of Smith's minutes because McHale played D-mo at center.

He's looking more comfortable. Give him time. I was a bit tentative after the first 2 games, but was glad to see he REALLY CAN dribble the ball. lol
Also attacked the basket tonight like he was part of the team.

More like not getting the opportunity to do more......some potentially great players can vanish just purely by being on the wrong teams.

Ice, TRob actually looked decent tonight. Miles ahead of the 'deer in the headlights' look of his first 2 games. Played some solid D and also attacked the basket (held on to the ball) with some spin moves and such.
Didn't light it up, but at least looked like he belonged out there.

He couldn't catch the ball without turning it over, today I actually saw him cross someone over.

Someone should take that draft video and splice in Houston Rockets over Sacramento Kings.

    :)
