    Yep.

Also, only 13 teams own their own pick outright in 2027. 7 of those teams probably are still playoff contenders. That leaves 6 teams that right now could tank in 2027. While I expect the Sun might add to those 6, there is a good chance 2-3 of those are further along on their rebuild than Brooklyn and won't tank.

Somebody has to lose and I expect it will be the teams that are tanking or recently tanked and haven't had time yet to build depth.

The Suns are in no-man's land, and their only hope is to sell high and rebuild. Their current squad can barely win over a young Detroit team. When they play Cleveland, they are going to get destroyed. Maybe when that happens soon, the Sun's front office will take the trade deadline more seriously. The players will start checking out if they haven't already.

This is a prime example of what not to do as a franchise.

Not to mention that OKC will likely be getting the Clippers pick, so 3 picks in the top 21. Add last years lottery pick of Topic and they can't really absorb 4 new rookies next year. They need to target someone on a rookie contract still and trade those picks. It's really unfair how many assets they have, and how we are essentially their rebuild rivals. I actually think they'd be willing to trade some of those pics at 80 cents on the dollar.

OKC's great advantage is they can "overpay" when the time is right, for whoever they want.

Nick Richards was a great pickup for them.

Stone honestly should be trying harder to keep Suns from getting better. We should have gone after Tyus Jones and now Nick Richards to prevent Suns from getting them.

They are too good right now, i think they try to do what Stone did and trade these picks for future assets if they are unable to consolidate them now.

The diff is those picks are all either protected or low frps. Its gonna be hard to consolidate them unless they take losses value-wise.

Tyus Jones has not helped the Suns offense (i.e., he's much less a threat than Booker or Durant) and he sucks defensively. If the Suns had gotten Aaron Holiday, there would have been something to worry about as it would force the ball into their stars hands and allow them to have a better shooter. Luckily, Stone blocked the Suns from getting him.

Jones is scoring at 61% TS and hitting 3 at 41% and averaging 6 ast. How is Holiday a better shooter? Plus Suns couldnt afford Holiday they are in the 2nd apron and can only give vet min contracts and Holiday signed for 5M. Jones only makes 3M.

My guess is Stone didnt sign a backup cuz he expected Reed Sheppard to step in immediately.

Holiday is a better shooter because he can make more three pointers despite not having the gravity of Booker and Durant. Jones may be more accurate, but he doesn't punish guys sagging off him like Holiday. I'm a litte surprised Jones is that accurate and has as many attempts as he does. I just don't see him with the aggressiveness of Holiday.

Good call on the minimum. Though I will say, Tyus Jones made it clear he wanted to start as well making it impossible for Stone to sign him.

On Stone didn't sign a backup, he signed Holiday to be Reed insurance. With Amen and Green, the Rockets have enough playmaking to play Holiday as a backup PG. The Rockets biggest problem right now is that someone(s) in the starting lineup isn't rotating.

Holiday is shooting 37%, Tyus Jones is shooting 41%. Pretty clear who is the better shooter lol. Jones wanted to start because he was only making the minimum, he has no issues coming off the bench cuz he spent most of his tine coming off the bench in Memphis.

LOL This is exactly what i was worried about. Our picks will continue to lose value because Stone thought he was smarter than PHX

If anything, this shows just how valuable those picks are.
