Jarett Allen when he was traded: 11/10/1.6 blk
C-wood when he was traded: 17.9/10/1 blk, 39% from 3 on 5 attempts

Not sure why you think CWood wasnt more valued when he was traded.

Not with the new apron rules - unless you are a sure fire top 2-4 team, you want to stay away from that 2nd apron - its a killer.

Nobody really wanted him so we got a FRP for him?

Nobody wanted CWood so we got a FRP for him.

Everybody wanted Jarett Allen so we got a FRP for him.

    Right.

I like Jabari .... he'd been playing well before the injury. I just don't know that he's a max money guy, he is a very good complimentary player and would fit on just about every team in the league.

Jabari's extension won't kick in until the 26/27 season and his ma is $42,528,000 in year one.

Green, Sengun, Brooks, Thompson, Shepard, Landale & Whitmore are the only players under contract totaling $128,460,72

    FVV & Holiday expire.

First apron is $215,541,000 Second apron is $228,608,000

Jabari at the max puts you at $170,988,728 with no point guard & 7 open roster spots 3 incomplete roster charges $5,250,585 and Tari pending with $39,301,687 to the 1A and $52,368,687 to the 2A..

Tari's extension is a wildcard but how you extend or replaced FVV is critical.

If you extend or replace FVV at $25m and give Tari $15m you are already above the 1A with 5 roster spots remaining and ~$12m to the 2A.
I feel like $25m for FVV or his replacement is a very conservative figure. It could be much higher.

These numbers do not consider draft picks which eats into that space under the aprons - hard to say by how much as we don't know where the picks fall but even if they are traded, it's likely for more salary than the rookie draft pick would make.

    The money is tight ....

The following season gets even tighter when you have Amen probably due a max and who knows what happens with Cam.

extending FVV or picking up his option ruins our flexibility going forward for a mediocre pg. It would be a really stupid move in my opinion.

not worth anymore. I actually don’t see Jabari as part of this team in the future, if we did a trade…. He’s thrown in.

Nah he is part of it. The player who will be thrown in depends on who we trade for. We might not even trade for anyone since the Rox are doing amazing.

He's a 6-11 floor spreader that can grow into a small ball 5 and potentially guard 2-5. He isn't going anywhere because those dudes are impossible to find. He's getting an extension at the end of this year.

Jaden McDaniels got $130M over 5 years. That's the number Bari's agents are going to be bringing to the table and the Rockets are going to have to try to convince them to take less. Who knows, maybe he does take a little under market value. I wouldn't expect anything under $100M total contract value though, that would be honestly very surprising in today's market.

I agree for the most part, but there could be a scenario where he is part of a trade, but it would pretty much have to be part of a package for a superstar not a Fox or similar.

I'm not so sure, with the rise of Amen, Jabari could find himself as the odd man out
