You realize everybody said the Nets picks were worthless when we traded for them? Durant is most certainly not going to be there much longer. Beal can't stay healthy and his teams never win even when he is healthy. How long before Booker demands a trade?

So if I have this correct, we still have a swap with the Nets AND the Suns' unprotected first round pick in 2027.

The 2025 pick was tied to the Mik to NY deal...

They weren't going to purposefully tank while we held that pick. Good lord guys.

If we did not agree, they'd still have Bridges and be another late lotto team.

Also Kevin Durant will hold up flash cards via zoom from The Villages in FL for our 2029 draftee!

Yeah, we have those, but I'm just focusing on 2027. We didn't give up all the Nets picks, right?

9th pick is high but not crazy high. And 2026 Ben Simmons expires so that pick will be even lower.

Yeah, no doubt. And then if they don't trade Mikal, the Rockets just end up with some mid pick (or they jump to #3 like this year... lol).

I hear you, however we know Brooklyn is going to suck next year and we do not know if the Suns will suck in 2027 or 2029. Phoenix's quality in 2027 is totally conjecture at this point in time. It seems like we traded a known good pick in 2025 for an unknown set of picks/swaps in the distant future. Usually you get more value for moving back in time.... feels like we got less. If this is part of a grand plan and there is a step 2, step 3, etc, then MAYBE I get it. But if not, then we got taken to the cleaners here.

Dumb F'ing Bull$hit! The Nets Swap next year was the Ace in the hole. Why the HELL would you give that up?!! They are going to be a guaranteed bottom 3 team next year.

Stone you are one dumb SOB!!

I would have told them to kiss my ass on that request.

We probably can't - because without making the trade with us, BKN doesn't tank for Flagg.

Suns are a franchise in a second apron death spiral, so it will be good to hold their destiny for future deals. No way a 37 year old Durant is right for the Rockets though, so it better not go that direction. Booker would be a different story.
