    Y'all remember the 2011 Draft?

    We picked Marcus Morris 14th.

    Spurs picked KAWHI LEONARD 15th.

Lots of great players passed up by teams and experts who are "in the know".

After our successful selections if Sengun and Tari at 16 & 17 we shouldn't be upset with the 10th pick.

We've just been spoiled with Top 4 picks the past 4 years. Rockets are already reaping those rewards this year and things are only looking up.

I'm psyched about a #10 pick. If the Rockets see someone they like there and decide to keep the pick, y'all should be excited too.

Giannis went 15 in a bad draft; Booker went 13; J-Dub went 12; SGA went 11; Paul George went 10. That’s off the top of my head.

All of which is to say, I agree.

The trade was a clear win, and I was one of the few people who got super drunk the night of the trade and ranted against Stone.

I still believe that the Nets would’ve traded Bridges for the package that they got and who knows maybe the nets 2026 pick end up number one. However, even when considering those things, the Nets failing to move up really does a lot for us value wise in 2027. We lost a little bit of value with Dallas, jumping up to number one, but I am still optimistic about that pick. As I have mentioned in a few threads, I don’t know if I see flag as a Zion Williamson level talent minus the injuries.

For Phoenix, there is really no way out that I can see.

I am looking for five or six years ahead and seeing teams like San Antonio be dominant. We could chase that, but I also think that there is a window over the next 3 to 4 years where we could win a title with a couple of win now trades.

In regards to pick number 10, who cares if they don’t play very much?

I now trust the system that we have around these guys. Just because Cam Whitmore got a spanking and Reed didn’t play very much doesn’t mean they didn’t develop.

I’m excited to draft at 10 or I will be excited to trade what is a valuable asset for a rotational upgrade.

We all would’ve been happy with the outcome of this year even if outcome from number eight to number twenty.

I truly think we are at the point where one or two of the star players is going to want to play in Houston, and he is going to want specific players around him.

Last year, I said I'd trade the #3 pick for a pick in the top 10 in this draft and I still feel that way. I like guys like Jaku or Fears or even Queen more than I liked Risacher or Sarr or Reed last year.

I think Ace Bailey winds up being the steal of this draft.

Reed might net you a top 15 pick this year. You taking it?

You can rebuild with cap space. If they had old bad contracts on the books then maybe. They will have a clean slate.

Anything is “possible”. They could also draft the next Jokic in round 2. It’s all about probability.

Agreed. There are some intriguing prospects that should be on board around our pick.

Probably not. Haven't looked too deep at that range but they all have real flaws like Reed. Jase is just worse Reed.

This is incorrect as it is not a linear trade.

Eg. IF we had given the Suns back their 2025 pick in a trade, and they then blew it up and tanked and got pick #2, we did NOT trade pick 2 to them. There are other factors involved.

Nets tanking the year to go for Flagg was their goal, hence they paid a premium (2 for 1) to get this year's pick back so they could tank.

Here is where this trade is dreadful. The Nets blew it up and ditched assets to move up 2 spots in the draft.
They paid a premium, threw away a whole bunch of assets, and tanked a year to go from 10 to 8. Dreadful. They have made no forward progress, and we still control their 2027 pick. Eeexcellent!!

The fact he's about an inch or two shorter than advertised isn't helping him. Well, maybe it's helping him become a steal if it drops him in the draft and he still does well. He was always listed at 6'10" from what I recall, but at the combine came out 6'7.5" which would put him around 6'8.5"-6'9" in shoes. Many had him as the #3 pick, but he's been dropping in a lot of mocks even before the combine.

It’s quite probable that Dallas with cap room can sign free agents as to where that draft pick won’t be a very high one.

would like to see him fall to 10! I didn’t realize he came in that much shorter but I remember something being off when he and Harper were side by side at the lottery interview.

There are two players in this draft I'd trade Reed Sheppard for.
