He looks like he has a veriety of moves all over the floor but almost always shoots with his right... at least in the videos posted. Sounds like a very confident guy and looks athletic.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this guy.

this guys offense looks solid in the vids but will probably just translate to decent in the NBA....but not much more than that will be needed on this team. HOWEVER...he is probably going to get killed on the defensive end.

I've seen him play in person many times. I don't think he has the quickness or strength to make the NBA transition. But I hope I'm wrong.

How can he not score with a NBA player on him if he gets alot of open jumpers which he is good at getting? He has range and can face up. Like Mehmet. Thats NBA to be able to have a jumper when open and stretch the space at the center position. He will get his every once in a while. Jumpers always translate to the NBA when you are 6,11. Defense is another matter and rebounding. I think this guy is a real good piece. Now we wont look desperate to get a center from teams trying to offer us their garbage at center to get Tmacs contract at the very least.

He's above 6'9'', isn't injured, and has a pulse. That's good enough at this point.

So is this guy the Dirk Nowitski of of Australia?

I know that is quick judgment call, and I haven't seen him live so I'm hoping he has a lot more heart and less choke factor than Dirk does, but of the highlights, that is what I see...

aaron brooks: "hey andersen...go fetch that ball in the stands for me...*kicks a ball into the 64th row"

he looks very solid around the basket. he even has good shooting range and he can sort of put the ball on the floor. his defense and rebounding don't look great but of course you can work on that.

In order to bring him, don't we have to use part of our MLE?

How much is he wanting exactly? The whole damn thing? If we give him more money that we did to Scola, that should be a bye bye to Wafer.

And he is 29 years old. Not exactly young....

I was expecting a younger center.

Foreign players are very good on offense, however, there defense is what gets us killed. I'm concerned with Scola and Anderson on the floor at the same time. It's the equivalent of 2 Chucks on the offensive end.

I'm pretty sure we'll have to break into our MLE to sign Andersen. He's making a lot of money in Europe and already turned down an offer from Atlanta this year for being to low.

My guess is that we give Andersen a scola-type deal, aka half the mle for 3 years with maybe a team option in year 3. Then we'll use the rest of the MLE to either sign Von, or one or both of our draft picks.

He is not a good rebounder nor is he known for any defensive prowess. They do play a slower paced game, but I feel that speed wise he is comparable to Luis.
He will need to play with Hayes and Dorsey, if the latter ever makes it to the league. Offensively,he is fairly good.

euro 2nd rounders normally sign for 3 million per year for 3 years when they come into the nba

jose calderon 3mil for 3 years
luis scola 3 mil for 3 years

looks like we're going to use the rest of the MLE for Von

That usually means draft pick/s. Most likely second rounders.
