You are either really young. Or really dumb. I'm trying to sort out which. But 'since I'm at it' you should realize the season hasn't started and that there are these things called - "inactive," "NBDL," and last but not least..."cut." Pull your head out of your ass but please leave it hanging because you have embarrassed yourself.
Looking at his videos; i like his effort and game, but one thing comes to mind; "Great another guy on our frontline that can't jump over a quarter, Ala Scola"
hopefully morey is right on this move. i hope this guy can play with a running style offense. go rockets.
Von Wafer looks like a chicken running aroudn with its head cut off when he has the ball in his hands. He's a turnover machine, and will only pass if the defense forces him to pass....doesn't sound like very smart basketball to me. He is a good finisher, but in order to be a good finisher, you have to be able to get to the basket, and once teams figured out that he doesn't look up and drives in out of control, guys like Vujacic were able to shut him down and essentially take him out of the series vs. the Lakers....when has Vujacic ever shut down anybody else?? lol All teams have to do is close out on him and stay in front of him. He doesn't really have great handles, and his shot is very streaky, so people will live with him taking a 3 now. Corey Maggette is an okay scorer, but he's about as big an idiot as you will find in basketball maybe besides Ricky Davis. He only looks to score, doesn't make plays for others, doesn't play defense, and the guy averages more turnovers than assists!! at best he's an okay scorer off the bench...but theres a reason why he's only been on a team with a winning record ONCE in his career. Even when his teams haven't had winning records, they haven't even been close to making the playoffs. He's a 1-dimensional player who doesn't know the meaning of the word "pass" or "team ball". Considering you love team ball, I'm very surprised that you are a fan of these 2 players...complete idiots on the basketball court.
Well, we had to have to have somebody to play C this year so I guess this meets the minimum requirements. But we shouldn't expect to find a Rolex at The Dollar Store.
Here's a link to Andersen's stats: http://davidandersen.com.au/statistics.html The first thing I noticed was his good shooting % from the field, 3 pt & FT. Also, have to consider his averages playing labout a 1/3 less minutes than the normal NBA starter.
Why are Morey and Rosas referring to him as a 7 footer? I understand he's 6' 11" but there is a big difference between being close to 7 foot and actually being a 7 footer.
The only wing player who turned the ball over less per minute than Wafer was Battier. So when he goes to the rim and the defense doesn't meet him there he should pass anyway? Ok. So one sub-par series and he's out? Man, you're harsh. By the way, in the Lakers series he averaged 7 points in 11 minutes shooting 43% so it wasn't like his production declined much. He shot 39% from 3 point land in the regular season, 46% in the first round and 36% in the second round. How can you call that streaky unless by "streaky" you mean hitting them at a pretty good percentage even in his "bad" series. No offense, but your poorly informed opinion of the guy doesn't change the facts.
Well, he does look a bit clumsy and all that but he does bring height and pretty good offensive skills to the 5 spot where there wasn't any going into next year without Yao. However, he looks to be a defensive liability as he'll have major issues moving his feet so it remains to be seem just how effective he'll be in the half-court game. Well, at least he's not Eric Dampier...
One thing like about our GM and our front office is that they are becoming more like the spurs. They starting to pick up names that not popular in the league but they are good productive players. Like Manu and Parker and ours are Scola, Landry and Brooks. I'm glad Morey makes better decision than Dawson did. Hopefully Andersen would be a good productive player that we need.
