Hopefully he can shut you guys up like Scola did.

Seriously, what do you except Morey to do?

Any front court help is much appreciated. The team needs to get bigger and this could be the start. I just hope that this is not what Morey was saying about obtaining a center via trade. :(

Haven't seen this posted.. sorry if it has :)

David Andersen's interview with basketball Australia after his rights have been traded to the Rockets. He said he will be coming over in the next 10 days to sign a contract with the Rockets, for a "slight financial hit".

New Jersey will trade him, but only if we get them more.

Golden State laughed and asked for Boone for Bellini. New Jersey offered Boone for Al Harrington and Bellini. Golden State laughed.

New Jersey asked for Harrington because he was on the trading block. Golden State rejected New Jersey and traded him to New York, right afterwards.

I just wish they would give me a straight answer either way. Every year it’s the same thing. If they want me, great, but if not, I would like to go play somewhere else. I can’t force the tender and go play on a non-guaranteed minimum contract, but I don’t think I’m asking for crazy money either.”

Andersen has another year on his deal with Barcelona, but has a clear NBA escape clause in his contract that that he can exercise until July 15th. That is a difficult situation for Barcelona, as they will be in serious limbo until that point—essentially the very tail end of the signing period for elite European clubs, where there will likely be few if any big men of Andersen’s caliber on the market. Barcelona has an option to buy out Andersen’s contract, and may be forced to do so if they feel like they cannot wait on the NBA to act.

When I was having discussion with cxbb or even a guy I always have great discussion with like durvasa, I never said boone was a great player. My main point is that he a 24 yr old 7ft center who is cheap and when he plays 24 mins, he's 8ppg 7rebs and almost 1 blk per game. Nj drafted lopez last yr and got battie via trade. Lopez will log 35 mins per night so he won't play a lot just like last yr. I thought and maybe that conversation took place, that boone could be had for cheap, maybe even for the trade exception. Is boone going to replace yao? No, but if he gives u 8-7-1 in 24 mins, if you get another young center like Hollins or even a guy like petro and in the other 24 mins he gives you 6-5-.5, now the team is getting 14-12-1.5 from the center position. Plus u would have a 24 yr old 7ft er and a 23 yr old one. If yao comes back, u have 2 bacups and 1 could be trade bait. If yao doesn't come back and the team makes the push for mosh or amare, then you already have the center spot taken care of.

I ask the question last yr when posters were going gaga over barry. I asked if tracy goes down, how comfortable are you if barry had to pplay big minutes? If yao doesn't come back or is limited, how would anderson fair if he had to play 30 mins a night?

Yeah, my crusade to get Corey Maggette doesn't count either.....I am sorry Jm...but I have been accused of this garbage on here a few times and it rankles me....I just like smart basketball.

The reason I like Von so much is that he SMARTLY finishes....same with Maggette...actually Corey moves very well without the ball...and IMO would fit in great....well would have.....if Yao was healthy, now I want younger players.

I just don't like the implication.

Too bad that's all he does "smartly" ;) Sorry DD but I couldn't resist. I like Von, but I don't have your man crush on him. If we can't get him for cheap, then I'd rather he drive through the lane for some other team.

Also sorry for hijacking the thread (though it seems that had already been done by others)
