New nickname for David Anderson: NEO As you can see, we've had our eye on you for quite some time now, Mr. Anderson My name.........is NEO !!!!
It is what it is. It's not like we paid much to get him, so I doubt we expect him to be more than a better than average offensive player.
That doesn't sound very good. Hollinger's stat projections for Scola were almost spot on too, so hopefully this time he isn't so prophetic.
Not necessarily. If said player can play 4/5, he could still get his minutes. Besides, how sure are you that Yao comes back at anything resembling what he was? I'd just assume he isn't coming back at any particular time, since the same foot has yet to heal. If Yao does make it back, then we'd have a very desirable problem to deal with. Don't forget Scola's coming up, too. Developing a 4/5 makes a lot of sense right now.
Maybe he won't get 3 million then? How much were the Hawks offering him? What was too low? The less money he takes, the more money we have for the rookies and possibly Wafer.
as i asked earlier....how is he like brad miller? just because he can shoot? he doesn't play d, rebound, or pass like miller.
Expect him to sign a contract that fits that, probably for two or three seasons and worth about $2.6 million per http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/07/rockets_have_a_gday_land_their.html
Feigen wrote 2.6 million per as an expected salary in his blog. http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/07/rockets_have_a_gday_land_their.html He sounds much more optimistic about Andersen than Hollinger, but then he gets his opinions straight from the Rockets front office.
Drip........ Rox got themself the backup for Bogut to start here? Great compliment player but no way he is a starter.
If he can play a little more physical, then he would work out as a starter in this offense. Adelman loves post men are versatile away from the bucket. He had great success with the Webber/Divac duo, both of which could pass very well and put the ball on the floor and hit the 20 ft. jumper. Scola and Anderson can both shoot, and to a lesser extent put the ball on the floor. They are nowhere near the passers that Webber and Divac were. I feel that RA could run his offense with them being the bigs for our team and AB pushing the ball similar to White Chocolate back in the early Webber days in Sacremento. You have the athletic wingman who can make plays in the open court and play decent defense and possibly hit open 3's (if he works on it more this summer), would be a more athletic and longer version of Doug Christie. If Tmac comes back somewhat early in the season (1st month or so), and is healthy, he can be our go to scorer, when the game slows down, and we need that playmaker to get us an easy shot, or has the ability to make difficult shots when the defense really kicks in late in games. I know we won't be as good as the CWebb Kings, but we can still be fun to watch and make the playoffs, if we have the right pieces. If we keep Battier, we can bring him off the bench to guard those prolific scorers. Lowery, Hayes, and Landry will also be key off our bench and give us some toughness. The Rockets have the potential to be fun to watch next season...
Anderson seems slow to me, in both his feet, and his shot release. He's also slow at taking the ball to the bucket and often gets out of control driving with a high dribble and ends up turning it over. I wish I could be excited .... But I cannot.
You were going strong until you tossed in this clunker, Tmac wouldn't move without the ball when healthy, I seriously doubt he does it coming back from injury too. I think the team has moved on...and the Tmac ship has sailed. DD
I see the same problem with his shot release. It will be pretty easy to block his shot. His jumper is ok.
