That is good but there is no way David Anderson was going to get the Spanish League MVP or the Spanish supercup MVP. He didn't even play in those leagues. :D

Its that thing you know where we didnt get the guy some others wanted. He isnt Gortat obviously. He might be better though. Nobody knows right now and that has me excited that he at least has potential. As opposed to a Ratliff(certified fodder). Gortat(4 and 4 in less minutes than Anderson per game). Hayes(6'6). Seriously Dorsey? Fouls in the fourth quarter to lose games Dorsey at 6'7? ZaZa Pechulia another soft shooting Euro the likes of Anderson? The only proven center is Pryzbilla? The guy who Yao fouled out and stopped every single game. So this guy is about what we could have hoped for at best. Hopefully he plays as good as he looks in the Euro league games in just 22 minutes. Remember thats those rebounds and points in just 22 minutes which is normal in Euroleague.

I think he will be a backup for the 1st quarter of the year (at least). Remember Scola didn't start until later in the season and he was more NBA ready. However, still a good pickup for the price and I also think Yao will be back around all-star break.

I understand, all i'm saying is its unrealistic to expect him to be like scola. Scola was proven

    I like this guy tho.

This thread is making me LOL. People think that Andersen is our savior. Remember the adjustment period Scola needed in order to not get a foul every three minutes? I hope this guy gets some minutes in Summer League, but I doubt it. I think hes gonna get chewed alive his first few months. The GARM can be so weird sometimes.

When he played v the Clippers in 2006 preseason, he scored 9 points on 4-8 shooting.

early in his career, Brad Miller was a stud underneath the basket.
You may see him shoot alot long range shots now, but its the ability to rebound makes him differ from ppl like Cook.

I dont see the Brad Miller from this limited information about David Andersen.

Not much difference in Euroleague stats. You guys wanted Rubio and you get the better scoring Euroleaguer and rebounder in the same minutes. Not much difference in Rubio and Anderson. Which either begs the question what is up with the Rubio love or where has this David Anderson guy been?

Works for me. He's a decent gap filler until for next season until we know what's going on with Yao. I'm just glad we didnt' so something stupid like blow our team for an overpaid waste of salary cap space we can use for next offseason!

Nice move Morey! Another second round pick rights steal after Luis Scola' landing. David Anderson might end up with another pleasant surprise to this team. I'm a jolly man today. Go Rockets! :)

I have seen this guy play, have you? aside from a few you tube videos?

I also never once stated the 'team' would be centred around him.

Unfortunately I doubt Yao will be back this year at all, so with that being said and as it stands right now, he is our starter, so even before this move this team was lotto bound, this move only confirms that (in my opinion), again, I hope I'm wrong.
