I believe you are wrong and right. Prigs will be part of the rotation out of necessity. We needed a traditional pg and even though we didn't get the one we wanted, he fits the bill. However, you are right in respect to the russian: he is worthless except on youtube highlights.

For his sake, let's hope the GARM is kinder to him than the last PG obtained from the Knicks :)

Really, 48% voted no? We just acquired a PG who will actually help us in the playoffs and all we traded was a useless PG who would have ZERO impact for us in the playoffs and 2nd rounders we can easily buy back.

Pablo is a champion, I like the pedigree.

Also let's not forget we are 2/2 with Argentine Rockets.. These guys were solid for us and I expect Prigs to do the same.

i keep hearing "late" second round picks. Does that mean we added protections? Or are well all just assuming the 2017 and 2019 picks will be bad because we'll still be contenders in 4 years?

we could be looking at a reverse-camby trade in a few years if we go south and there are no pick protections. some karma for zen phil and his knicks.

    According to ESPN stats

    Prigioni career 3Pt% = .414

If he was shooting that currently this season it would
tie him at 14th in the NBA with Kyrie Irving
(And that's a CAREER average, NOT just a single season flash in the pan)

I'm sure he couldn't get any good looks at the basket with the Knicks

Hopefully he can regain that magic here in HOU.
Of course, we thought the same with Ariza, Terry, etc....

Prigioni seems like a real team player, he just sounds like he wants to do everything he can to help his team out

No LLE in free agency. The Rockets will be filling out their roster with min contracts. What are the chances they sign Scola and Delfino?

He ran a nice pick & roll with Dorsey ... nice pass leading Dorsey to a spot , easy look that Dorsey couldn't screw up.

The pick and roll is a big part of his game .... None of the other Rockets ball handlers , aside from Harden seem to be able to execute that with precision.
If he can shoot ~38% from 3 and get the second unit some good looks , he's just what the Dr ordered .... even if he isn't the big splash we all wanted.

Already looks better than Shved ....

Amazing how our team is so desperate ..for a PG

When a 37 old PG enter the game..the fans were like

    Wow ..he can actually walk..
He made a pass, and fans wowed...it's happening
If he hit a 3 point shot...I would guess Emergency staffs has to rescue a few fans

He is already on my favourite's list

I came out a little tough on Pablo, but from what I seen in the couple last mins in the game. Pablo seems like a Terry type player, good three point shooter.. Not the best defender, but smart and understand the game. Hell, he even made Dorsey look good at the end.

I like it. She'd had no playing time. 2 2nd round picks years from now mean nothing, now. Everyone keeps.screaming about wasting the now, so why worry bout picks years from now. We needed a pg that can actually play pg. It isn't the shiny new car everyone was drooling over but Dragon didn't want to be here. Why waste our players like do on someone who 1)doesn't want to be here and 2) wants a fat contract. Add to that he wants the ball in his hands.

Props to Morey for not caving and doing wants better for the team.

His age and the fact that he's not a big name are the reasons most aren't satisfied with the acquisition ..... But it's pretty clear that he's more than competent as a ball handler & distributor.
Been a while since we've had a traditional point guard on this team.

He got Dorsey such an easy look at the rim on that pick & roll Joey couldn't even find a way to screw it up. Best look at the rim he's had all year in the half court.

wow, let's see him play enough minutes first. clearly Bev's play is subpar.

but can you imagine Pablo vs. the Lillards and Currys of the NBA? will he play with the bench unit which is already working fine?

that's why that trade was underwhelming. we needed PG help on the starting unit. he can help with playmaking but he may give it back on defense even if Ariza defends the elite PG and Pablo needs to take the SF or SG.

    I don't think that's necessarily true.

We need help at either the PG or SF spots .... Both PatBev & Ariza cant be chucking up bricks at the same time.
I'm wondering if Ariza should come off the bench .... start Brewer who is a much better ball handler and can get in the lane. He moves so much better off the ball than Ariza , would create some havoc for defenses to deal with which could benefit Harden.
I'd also like to see the Rockets big men operate more out of the high post / elbow area .... So many options from there.

Is it just me or does it seem like players that were sent from the Knicks, to other teams, become better players wherever they go?

I like it. Seems to have a really positive attitude, I think his game will fit here. For someone who was never gonna see the floor and a couple asset picks I like this pickup. I suspect we are gonna be happy with this one in a month or two.
