He can be offered a poison pill Arenas/Lin/Asik type contract that we are not able to match. And we will have to use our MLE to match, so if we do match, he is essentially the only add. Likely goodbye to Smith and Brewer.

Essentially, we punt 2016.

 

He is now since a quarter of the starting PGs in the league got traded today and we didn't get any of them.

As for this deal though, I just hope it doesn't come back and bite the Rockets in the @ss. Last season we traded away our 3rd string PG who McHale refused to play only to have Bev almost immediately go down with an injury. We just did the exact same thing today and Bev has already been hurt twice this season(and playing like he's hurt over the last month or so).

do we have confirmation on which second-round picks went out? The best is the NYK's 2015, then NYK's 2016, then we have another good 2d in 2015(either DEN or MIN, whichever is worse for us, I think...), then Portland's 2017 and our 2017. Or maybe we even traded our own 2018 and beyond

Clutch said Canaan's practice habits were suspect, in the last podcast. Also, you can't teach height (for defense).

I thought all along that McDaniels was 6'2 but he's actually 6'6. OK, that makes me feel better.
