There's nothing wrong with this move. He's only 22, plays solid defense, hasn't done much in the NBA but hasn't played just a whole lot either. He might not be around for long, but there's some potential there. I wish he was a better shooter, but he's basically free so why not?

 

Not complaining, just saying you aren't going to win a championship with a guy like Tate getting minutes.

FVV is about a million times better. Springer is a very solid defender though.

The Springer guess was just good ol' common sense.

Yes, it is unprotected. Per Kelly Iko, Houston is sending back a top-55 protected 2031 second rounder, just so there is SOME consideration coming back from the Rockets.

 

And his agent let teams know we can be out after that year. They wanted SA.

 

35/31.6/71 splits on a 6'3 frame with a 6'8 wingspan...it doesn't matter what his defense is, that's not an NBA level player. 41/25/79 career. Yeesh. Take the second round pick and run I guess.
