I don't care what stats you throw out. To me, Aaron Brooks hasn't developed full skills to be a good starting point, from my experience of watching games. That's it.

He played great in the games that he has started this year, and the team won most of those games. That's a good starting point...

    Blah blah blah.

According to the poll, majority of clutchfans thought that trading away Bonzi Wells and Mike James was a bad idea.

    Morey is a wizard.

    Brooks is our starter now.
    Lorwy is backup.

Two fast young point guards. Let it sink in a little.

Are the people who will be missing ALston the same ones that wish Tmac was back? Those people are living in the past and clinging to some illusion that Tmac and ALston somehow have led us out of the 1st round and gone deep into the playoffs. None of that ever happened, ever.

All these 'we aren't going anywhere in the playoffs without Tmac'... Like TMac has ever been out of the first round?!?!?!

    Time to move on.

Exactly!! I really don't see the big problem with this trade. Rafer really hasn't been that good at defense lately either. Half the time he gives his man the lane and goes for the steal instead of playing him straight up.

Soon people will realize Brooks can not run the offense. With Tmac done, Rafer gone, who's gonna pass ball to Yao?

That's a fair opinion. Do you consider Rafer Alston to be a good starting point?

Best game - 42 min. v. Denver, thoroughly outplaying Billups and Rockets win easily.

Not good. Serviceble. Plus, he gets comfortable in the system, and he gives you some continuity at least for this season.

AB is better than rafer in general. I think he could be up for the starter.

Kyle Lowry can do that, Von Wafer, Ron Artest. Everybody except Aaron Brooks is capable of doing that. I prefer Lowry starting because he is pass-first. We will just let AB win 6th man of the year next year. :)

Aaron Brooks will only get better once he is use to being the starter. I expect him to excel in this position.

Bad English never fails to ruin a post that's trying to be snippy. :D

Good post. People tend to over-analyze and over-react to anything you put in front of them. People here have short memories though, so if Lowry really gels with the team people will forget that Alston was ever here. ;)

I know because I was initially distraught by the trade myself until I read more about Lowry.

    Same here, man, same here.

I was pissed about the trade when I first saw it. Then I looked a little more into Lowry... and now I can't wait to see what he can do here.

Not that I expect him to be an amazing talent, but I think he can be a pretty good player here.

team defense is different from one on one defense. Rafer is overall the better defender until Lowry proves himself otherwise.

That's why i think the majority of us would prefer battier than ron artest on the defensive end of the floor.
