I think most of you forget what Power Rankings are.

They are not a predictor of how good you are. Instead, they reflect your recent performance.

Cleveland has the longing winning streak in the league right now (7). =#1 rank.

LA lost a game finally. =#2.

1-3 is right. Houston at #4 seems like a stretch.

The ranking is pretty accurate. We are very inconsistent but we have new pieces and we will be more consistent as the season progresses.

If they have us at 4 now, we should be one with the schedule we have going

Blowing a 16pts lead in LA too!! I believe the Rockets can beat anyone...it's just a matter of how much they want to win...that include the coaches and their substitution pattern too.

Blow two double digit leads and lost the game against the (at)Spurs and (at)Lakers. We mainted to two double digit leads against the (at) Suns and Hornets.

I'd say the team is ok within the 3 to 11 range. I don't think I would be surprised.

I agree. The way we played over the last week, despite the lvl of competition and the long road trip, I thought we would be ranked 7-10 at the most.

Man that five in the background makes things too hard to read.

BTW the rockets should be around 7 or 8... because we should NOT have lost to the spurs and our stars are weak.

This team has the talents to be one of the top three to five teams in the league. However, they have not played to that level yet. Therefore, yes we are overrated.

It is a sign that NBA corp want to see for the 2009 final, 2 east teams and 2 west teams. May ref. helps Rockets from now on.

    absolutely right.

I don't understand why people are annoyed with the Cavs being ranked first. They are currently playing the best basketball of any team. DUH!
I'm not defending the cavs in anyway. I don't see them winning the title this year because i don't see them getting passed the Celtics. However right NOW, as in the past week. they are playing the best.

It's hard to say whether the rockets are ranked correctly in this week's power rankings.

We have had the hardest schedule so far, however i never believed that the power rankings took that into account. What they usually take into account is how well a team deals with a difficult schedule. ie. if you beat a really good team, it is noted in the power rankings. if you lose to an awful team, that is also taken into account.

If you look at the teams ranked immediately after the Rox, most of these teams are on a downward spiral. So i think that is why the rockets are ranked #4. We have proven slightly more consistent than the other teams who are currently around our level of play.

If the time interval recorder do well,we would have the victory at Portland, and also vs Spurs if do better that game,we also have chance to win the game,if so on hte longest maybe most difficult trip we would bring 4-1,only lose Lakers, that is wonderful.what place will we rank if we got 9-2,2nd in hte western league
