Last night on SportsCenter ESPN was breaking down the most likely places that Bynum was going to land after Thursday: 1. Clippers 2. Heat 3. Rockets He has already let it be known that he wants to play for a contender even though he has been dealt to Chi-Town: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1914778-nba-rumors-latest-on-andrew-bynum-and-additional-association-buzz Morey was aggressively pursuing Bynum previously, of course his stock has dropped since then and most importantly his shape has... well lets just say rounded. I realize he is a diva and i have never been a big fan. However, he has shown some pretty amazing rebounding and defensive skills in the past. I think I would be willing to see how Bynum and Howard would do paired up on our front court considering we could get him for next to nothing (vet minimum). CF thoughts?
OMG TWIN TOWERS HOW CAN THAT NOT WORK also <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Andrew Bynum Receives Interest From At Least Eight Teams -- <a href="http://t.co/GlK1zM1Pm2">http://t.co/GlK1zM1Pm2</a></p>— RealGM (@RealGM) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealGM/statuses/420950078614806529">January 8, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Didn't people argue wether we should chase Bynum or Howard a few years back. How ironic would it be if we end up would both. I don't want him at any cost though, the guy has a terrible attitude and injury history.
Great addition if he wants to come here with a good attitude. It's a low-risk move, but there is a potential he could serve as a distraction if he starts squawking about playing time or how many touches he gets. I'd be all for it though, because this team needs depth at the 4/5 spot in the worst way.
The only reason he would come here is if he realizes he could extend his career by coming off the bench behind Howard. I don't think Bynum will have this type of mature realization about his current state as an NBA player. My money says he goes to the Heat to join Greg Oden in that pile where centers go to die.
But of course the Rockets won't go for him. They will sit back and wait until it's too late to do anything.
