Hard to root for title town USA, but that's what Boston is... And would be hard pressed not to say... Fck the Mavs!!!
Alright, here's a way to help shore up the bench. Adams is already on the team, Landale started earning his paycheck at the end of the year and Eason returns. The 4/5 depth is good. You've got Thompson and Whitmore coming into year 2 so at least some marginal improvement is expected if not a leap forward in progress from both bolstering the 3 spot. Take Sheppard with that 3rd pick and pay Klay the MLE to shore up the shooting rotation. PG - FVV / Sheppard SG - Green? / Klay / Whitmore SF - Brooks / Thompson PF - Smith / Eason ..C - Sengun / Adams / Landale That's 12 deep. Would be a good playoff run.
Unofficial luxury tax payments per team with playoff results: Golden St- $176.9M (eliminated in the play-In) LAC- $142.4M (eliminated in the 1st round) Phoenix- $68.2M (eliminated in the 1st round) Milwaukee- $52.5M (eliminated in the 1st round) Boston- $43.8M (won a title) Denver- $20.2M (eliminated in the 2nd round) Miami- $15.7M (eliminated in the 1st round) LA Lakers- $6.9M (eliminated in the 1st round) For the most part, didnt go so well for the big spenders.
When I saw the original list of taxpayers, I thought to myself - "Only Boston got their money's worth." Thanks for doing the research!
https://hauteliving.com/2024/06/cat...ta-shares-billionaire-business-advice/752379/ Until he finds his next acquisition, he’ll also be focusing his attention on the Houston Rockets, the NBA team he purchased in 2017 for a record (at the time) of $2.2 billion. Here, too, he is the sole owner. During his first year as owner, the Rockets advanced to the Western Conference Finals and set the franchise record for the most wins in a single season. And although that didn’t happen last season, he’s confident in the team’s success. “We had the most plus wins of any team in the NBA last year, we have the best six young players as a group in the NBA, and we’ll get Steven Adams and Tari Eason back this year from injuries. We’re in the tough West, but we feel really good and positive about this coming year. We just got the number three pick of the draft, too; we should have ended up at nine, but we got lucky and fell to three,” he boasts.
So Amen, Thrilla, Bari, Tari. Sengawd, & Cam + Adams off the table in any trade discussions RN looks like
