l gotta say 14 games in 33 days is kinda lame. Most other teams are at 16 or17 games played by now. I mean it is probably for the best as a young team with new pieces and a new coach..... but sucks as a fan wanting to see some basketball.
One good thing about the upcoming schedule: Ja comes back on the 19th and we get to face Memphis two more times right before he does (on the 13th and the 15th). We need to take advantage of those games and the Spurs tomorrow and string together a few wins because the schedule gets pretty tough again for awhile after that. Looking ahead to later on in the season, we get to see the Jazz and the Blazers a lot of times down the stretch, and the Wiz a couple of times. Only positive of this brutal first half of the season.
Trust me, you do not want any national televised games this season. The broadcast crews are awful, easily worst it’s been in 15 years if not more.
We're finally past the worst part of our schedule. We still have some tough games coming up (Boston twice, Philly) but we also have a number of games against mediocre or outright bad teams coming up this month (Chicago, Detroit, Utah, Portland, Charlotte, Brooklyn). Only tricky part is a lot of these are on the road, but I'd say it's time to improve that lacking road record and string together some wins.
I doubt it starts soon. We will be favored in only one out of our next six games. Probably the most brutal stretch the rest of the season. If we go five hundred, I’ll be thrilled.
