Looks like the Yao-Shaq match really becomes the MUST-SEE, they air all 4 Rox VS LAL games on national TV: ABC, TNT, ESPN.

    I really can't wait to watch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kinda strange schedule the Rockets begin the season with. I don't ever recall them going on a eastcoast road trip so early, especially out to the northeast to Jersey, that is usually done late in the season. Its cool to see them get as many national televised games as the defending champs and the team in hollywood.

Oh well. In that case, the NBA is too kind. Opening up the season at home in the new arena with new unis, facing a team on the back end of a road back to back, with the 1st team being the defending champs?

    1-0. :)

Looking at the schedule, their March and April games don't look too bad. They should at least win more than they lose in that stretch. So as long as they make it through the All-Star break above .500, making the playoffs shouldn't be a concern.

Then again, with Utah in rebuilding mode and Golden State and Seattle doing nothing to improve themselves, you'd think the postseason would be all but guaranteed.

Yeah, but look at who they're playing on the road. 9 of those road games are against Golden State, Portland, Memphis, Milwaukee, Denver, L.A. Clippers, Utah, and Seattle.

Will the Rockets win all of those games? Of course not. But they should win the majority of them if they have any playoff aspirations. And frankly(barring injuries), you could make a strong case that they're the better team heading into each of those matchups.

93 days until opening night, and probably 95 until Posey's return to Houston.

considering only 5 teams last year had a winning road record, and only one in the East, you make it sound oh so easy. Lakers, Minnesota, Utah, and Phoenix all had poor road records.

We better have a good margin on the competition headed into those last 15 games.

Holy crap! 22 nationally televised games is awesome! Talk about BIG respect....Rockets/Lakers on the MARQUEE matchup on Christmas day!

As someone that can't get NBA League pass outside of Houston the fact we have 22 Nationally televised games is just marvelous!

And how awesome is it that the Rockets first game in the new arena will be nationally televised!?!
