I think DM is the kind of guy to trade such a pick, but I can also see him trying to move up and take somebody that can help sooner. He's a wizard, and I'd be excited to see what he can come up with at #18, but I think he could come up with a really great player at, say, #8.

Agree. Excellent post, meh. However, even though I will continue to root for the Rocks to win every game, I also want to see Adelman play Chase in place of Shane and move Hill, Armstrong and Jeffries into the rotation to see how they fit the team and, therefore, determine how expendable Hayes is.

I didn't know Davis was injured. It's a blessing in disguise. Morey loves picking up players, whose stock have dropped(See Budinger, Greene).

It will be a block party to pair Davis with Yao, next year.

:) :) :) I would be the happiest man alive with Monroe as a Rocket. I wasn't surprised that Boumtje Boumtje, Sweetney, or Hibbert didn't amount to much in the NBA, but I would be shocked if Monroe wasn't a prominent role player at worst in the NBA. Other than a possible Jeff Green, I haven't seen this talented of a Hoya since Iverson. Its bittersweet for me because I want to the Hoyas to finish strong in the Big East and the Tourney, but I don't want Monroe's stock to rise either so he has a chance as a Rocket.

As amazing as Landry was, and he really was one of my favorite Rockets of all time, this trade gives us that 2 guard we really need in this system and with Jordan Hill and this draft that is reallllly deep in big guys, it wont be too hard to find a decent replacement.

i DON'T THINK tANKING IS THE RIGHT WAY TO APPROACH IT.

However I do agreed with playing our new guys more and try out different combinations and mixing. This is a free season to experience and developing our players. The game is on next season when Yao's back and we protentially pickup another all-star.

Sit battier, chuck, and scola more. play them less PT as a way to preserve their energy and give them less chance to get hurt.
