    sure We Need More Salt;)
I think this is one of the most discussed subjects, We had 3 chances to draft Lewis, and we didn't:(
Well that is al in the past:D

as for Collier, i believe he was a 15th Pick. IIRC

    my list
    C Collier
    PF Turkan
    SF Langhi
    SG Rhodes
    PG Drew

In the modern era of 2 rounds (since 1989) I'd say

    Drew
    Rhodes
    Griffin
    Turckan

I'd say there are only 4...no way you can consider Collier a bust yet.

Include pre-'89 and the list can get big. To add a 5th from the 80's, I'd say John Turner

but for the grace of....SF3 (who demanded a trade from the grizz) Dickerson and Drew would be the backcourt on that list

    Griffen is the starting PF

Collier is not a bust - since he was never expected to do much (same is true for Rhodes)

I think bust I think SAM BOWIE busts...

    Griffin
    Drew
Turkcan - by virtue of us passing on Lewis

here are some other notible (or NOT notible 1st round picks) - I like Terry Teagle as a useless pick myself

1997 -- Rodrick Rhodes, Southern California
    1991 -- John Turner, Phillips
    1990 -- Alec Kessler, Georgia
    1988 -- Derrick Chievous, Missouri
    1986 -- Buck Johnson, Alabama
    1985 -- Steve Harris, Tulsa
    1982 -- Terry Teagle, Baylor
1979 -- Lee Johnson, East Texas State
    1967 -- Pat Riley, Kentucky

It always baffles me why some consider Buck Johnson a bust.

Dude was a #20 pick, who started a couple of seaons and put up decent #s.

I mean, dude wasn't great, but he wasn't bad.

Except for his jumpshot. That was bad (as in ugly).

I wouldn't say that about Dickerson. He was a good player that got brought down by injuries. I don't consider guys that get career ending injuries after they get drafted to be busts. Especially when they have a couple of productive seasons.

Mirsad Turckan....however u spell his name.... can't really say he was a bust for us, we traded him...to NY? or something like that.... i know we got a 1st rd pick for him and then i think we used that to get Steve Francis... if i remember right....

As for Griffin, i don't consider him a bust, he was only 19/20 when we got him and he played avg for us.... I have to blame the Rockets Org. & players for not taking care of him and helping him out, u knew u had a kid barely out of high school and that had issues before, so y didn't u keep better supervision on him...especially since you invested alot into him....

Rashard Lewis, I don't think he would have became as successful in our system back then if we got him....w/ all the pressure from the home town and etc.... i think he would have been a marginal player..... I think in Seattle, he got more freedom to develop his game into what it is now.... if we drated him, i think he would have been just another Robert Horry clone, not if thats bad, but u know, nothin compared what he is now....

How about the next Jason Kid, Randy Livingston? Was he not a first round pick?

Although the jury is still on Eddie but he has to be on that list in place of Collier at the center position.

PS. for the fella that was asking about Brent Price - Brent was not a first round pick of the Rockets (he was a free agent I believe) and his NBA career will not be considered a burst by any stretch.
