Ryno had some big games but at the end of the day he is an 18M player, you can pay other 18M players and they would have contrbuted just as much or more than Anderson. Anderson compiled a season avg of 13 ppg. If you assume he just takes 3 pters then thats the average of around 4.5 made shots a game. Anderson is a shooting specialist but he isn't a volume shooter because he is a mental midget, this is his fatal flaw and why he shouldn't be making 18M a year. Most shooters provide "spacing" and "gravity" because you can't leave them open, for example if you left Ray Allen or Reggie Miller open the entire game they will shoot until their arms fall off and bury the opponent with 3s. OTH, even if you leave Anderson open he will still only take 6 shots a game...and if he is in mental midget mode you dont even need to defend him he will miss his first couple of shots and then just pass the ball the rest of the game while providing zero rebounding and mediocre defense. Anderson's gravity and spacing is just 100% dependent on rep, he is the only timid stretch 4 in the league so opponents covered him but the Spurs called his bluff and Anderson got exposed, he can't make opponents pay for leaving him open so why bother defending him so closely? Anderson's release is so quick it doesn't matter if you guard him anyway, he will make or miss shots on his own. If Neo took the blue pill his name will be Ryan Anderson. Unfortunately he is not the one, and I honestly don't want to waste another season of Harden's prime seeing this dude stink it up in the playoffs like he has done his entire career.
I'd love to pursue this lead but @Dream Shook gave me some advice and I'm surveying the room and I've been drinking and I don't think it's fair to myself...I've said too much, I need a massage
I'd say don't bother, if it miraculously happens great...i'm still staying up cause i want to see our picks but eh... And btw, other two 2nd rounders, we're going to have half of the roster spots on rookies and sophomore lol
on the plus side if we don't end up getting PG, then we can still re-sign bobby brown to play PG for us. and then there's always the chance llull comes over to help supplant us at PG as well. get your season tix while the gettins still good
Utah getting picks though...it's not like the miss players...maybe Favors and a combo are going to be traded soon. Oh they just went up two spots...
