Wow. The last time we player either Dallas or San Antonio is March 3rd. Over the last 7 weeks, if healthy, we should have no excuse for not making a good late push.
San Antonio Dallas and Phoenix are hogging up National Television Ugh A lot of our National TV appearences are at home... DAMNIT... I hope we are good at home this year.
Kind of a cream puff schedule from March to the end of the season. We should be able to race up the standing at the end of the year.
It seems our national TV coverage has been steadily dropping, I remember two years ago we got something like 24 nationally televised games, now we only have 12.
Am I the only one that is extremely stoked that we get Memphis to start the preseason, and we get to play Dallas in our home opener? Couldn't ask for a much better opportunity to get a lot of the bad taste out of our collective mouth. Then again, we could lose both and the board will go into Van Gundy mode (ie. endlessly pessimistic).
okay, we wont have a slow start. and also, we don't play spurs and pistons back to back on the road lolllllllllllllllllll
Has anyone seen a schedule that can be downloaded into Microsoft Outlook like the rockets.com site had last year? If so post the link please
Anyone have any predictions for win-loss record based on this schedule? I'm thinking 55 wins sounds about right. I basically marked it as a loss anytime we played a top 4 team from either conference. Obviously we'll have a few huge wins, and a few shocking losses, but i think it'll even out that way.
Damn we better get more ESPN, TNT, and ABC games. I live in flippin VA and want to show my friends how pimp the Rockets with T-Mac and Yao actually are.
My bad. I originally saw the schedule on another message board and someone there had said it was @ Dallas. I think I would have liked that better, actually. It'd be sweet to go into their house and show 'em who the new power in the West is. But I'll settle for a home victory too.
Damn I can't wait for single game tickets to go on sale. There are some great games to be at Toyota Center for. I hope Tracy and Yao can stay healthy and this season will be a blast! Wed Nov. 4 vs. Dallas 7:30 pm Sat Nov. 25 vs. Memphis 7:30 pm Sat Dec. 2 vs. Cleveland 7:30 pm Wed. Dec. 23 vs. LA Clippers 7:30 pm Wed Jan. 10 vs. LA Lakers 7:30 pm Wed Jan. 17 vs. Phoenix 7:30 pm Wed. Feb 21 vs. Miami 8:00 pm Sat Mar 3 vs. San Antonio 7:30 pm I'll be at Toyota Center loud and proud for those bad boys!
If you wait a day or two after the game, a much loved member named R2K goes through the pain-in-ass process of converting the game and a highlight package into a torrent file, which he will post up here. If you're unfamiliar with torrents there's a thread somewhere here about how to use them, or you could just use google. It's a big help for people who live outside the U.S. Much love R2K! (I'm workin on those Boston-Houston games)
