The Dallas crowd sound like a bunch of little whiny kindergarten girls.

There are times where people shouldn't yell and scream in a public setting, but a basketball game isn't one of those. Those people don't seem to understand the idea of going to sporting events. Rather, they probably do understand, but just couldn't take it that people were enjoying a team other than the one they were routing for.

What I really can't believe is that security from the stadium took their side and tried to reprimand you guys. That's lame.

The whole ticket buying discrimination is lame too. Someone should write the organization a letter or call them, or both. I can't imagine they are OK with losing money on ticket sales because their sales staff is trying to segregate and deny people certain seats.

I hope the Rowdies can make the Nov 6 Spurs game. It's a Saturday too.

So what are the rules when it comes to cheering, if any?

Seems like as long as someone complains, then you're breaking them, which sucks.

RocketsGirl, I am not a stalker either, lol.

I envy you because it appears that you are having a great time cheering for our favorite team.

    Have fun!

Yes we'll be there! We'll be in the upper deck though. Sec 207 (get seats with or by us!) We've had a great time there in the past. Jan 29 game in San Antonio falls on a Saturday as well.

If you haven't been to a road Rockets game, it's something you all really need to experience, especially if you do it Red Rowdy style :)

It scares me how many views this thread has. Stalkers are usually the ones who look but don't say anything. lol

I guess.. uh.. thanks T-slack for noticing

Really? Wow. I've seen ushers in Houston say something to people but I always figured it was for obscenity or something more than just standing and cheering.

    That's too bad.

Once in Houston at a PHX/Rockets game, I had a girl who was wearing a Phoenix jersey complain about me. Turns out she was so drunk she couldn't really even stand up, and conversation just seemed to confuse her. Her boyfriend kept apologizing for her.

I have no idea why you would subject yourself to the douche-centric universe that is Dallas, but kudos to you for giving it a go.

I lived up there for a year and never could bring myself to go into that building.

I don't think there are rules. One lady said to us to bring it down a notch without flat out saying it was against the rules. The other 2 attendants/security said we could cheer, we just had to stay seated when play was going on, although I honestly don't think we were obstructing anyone's view. People were trying to complain about us yelling, but nothing anyone could do.

The attendants usually will move unsatisfied fans to other locations if they cannot put up with cheering. People get moved all of the time because they didn't realize that sitting behind the red rowdies section would make it impossible for them to see without standing as well as it be very loud.

Standing they can say something, cheering I don't think so as long as it isn't yelling at other fans or saying inappropriate words.

Yo Yo- that's unfortunate. I've never heard of that happening in the TC.- buy seats in 114 next time!!

My group was the 3 Rockets fans sitting down from the Rowdies and this couldn't be more true. I have never seen such whiny, pathetic fans in my life. I unfortunately live in Dallas and went to the game with my wife and friend. We usually go to every Rocket game in Dallas and it is the same story every time. They see us supporting our team and automatically go into attack mode. All we have to respond with is 2 championships to 0 and that usually shuts them up.

One mavs dbag who was with his kids made fun of Scola for missing a free throw in the 1st quarter and looked at the Rowdies. We responded with 2 championships to 0 and he said, "that's all you got" which we responded with, "Yeah, actually that is all we need".

Some other dbags came up to the Rowdies and complained. One of the guys was a Rangers bandwagoner with his lame claw and antler T-shirt (typical). After the Rowdies refused to listen to him, he walked off and we heard him say "Fing unbelievable" and we assumed he went to complain to security. A couple of moments later a ticket lady comes up and tells the Rowdies they can only stand during stoppages in time.

I have seen the same stuff at Rangers games where two Twins fans had signs and were cheering for their team were confronted by security. As we left the game we saw police talking to them and were busting them for public intoxication.

Typical Dallas hypocrisy, Mark Cuban is allowed to go to visiting teams arenas, stand up the whole game, walk on the court, yell at the refs and fans of opposing teams aren't allowed to even stand up in his arena? Unbelievable. Also, ticket booths refusing sales because someone is wearing something Rockets is insane too.

The other question I have for Mavs "fans" is how often have they gone on a road trip to watch their team play let alone a preseason game. How often have they even thought about it? I assume never so they have no idea what true fandom is. Half of the women at the game wore Red Rangers gear and couldn't be more clueless that the Mavs were playing a team wearing Red.

As for rocketgirls post, it went exactly as she said but we unfortunately have to deal with it at every sporting event. For some reason, they have adopted the Cowboys fans mentality when none of their other teams have accomplished anything yet.

Me and a couple of other Rockets fans will be there in November for the regular season game. Usually about a quarter of the arena is filled with Rockets fans so the preseason there usually isn't as good of a showing but Rockets fans come out of the woodwork during the regular season. It sucks that the games are during the week though. I was hoping the Rowdies would make it up so we could stick it to them again.

The highlight of the night for us was when JJ Barea was attempting free throws and the Rowdies proceeded to sing, "It's a small world after all.." which everyone had to laugh at.

Anyways, all in all a pretty good night even though we blew it at the end. That kind of stuff always seems to happen when we play there but I am hoping we don't have a let down like that in the regular season.

We took a pic of the Rowdies before the game and before Mavs fans had their panties up their asses. It was a glorious thing! I will post the pic in a little bit.

actually, at TC, you can stand as long as you are in your seat area. I was at a game with some guys who werent huge fans....just enjoying the game....as were the 4 people next to me. Well, on the floor seats, during play, this one guy would stand up the entire time...and he was in the 2nd row ON THE FLOOR....everyone was asking him to sit during the play.....it started getting heated etc ..but the ushers were like...we cant say anything to him if he isnt throwing stuff, cursing loudly etc...they said he is allowed to stand.

It got so bad that Tad Brown came down and asked him if he wouldnt mind sitting blah blah blah (tad knew him bc he was the owner of some of the floor seats and im sure tad didnt wanna piss him off). He finally sat...but not bc he HAD to...just bc Tad asked him to when he saw it was about to get out of hand

I've only stood for one entire game, and that was Game 1 in 2007 vs Utah.

Dave2000 had section almost entirely of us.

    Awesome.

Best time I've had at a game.

I think the game The_yoyo is refering to is that particular game. I think it was this game that the famous tumble took place.
