Without your starters playing to full potential, it's hard to compare teams at this point. But what the preseason can show us is how the bench players matchup. These are the guys fighting for a spot on the roster and/or team. They go out and play their all. To me, the Rockets bench is way deeper and more talented than the Spurs. Hopefully that translates to good things during the regular season.
Looks like KT is REALLY successful in transitioning to SF. With TMo playing well and Rice looks fine. . . O my! All of a sudden, we have a logjam at the 3. (I have to fess up that I'd never thought either KT and TMo could have any impact at the 3.) Everybody thought we had a logjam at the 4 and kind of worried about the 3 spot. Now if KT is truly a 3, then the 4 is not a logjam with just EG and MoT. We still can't write off Boki. His disappointing performance might be due to his injury and/or adjustment with the new team. BTW, looks like Mickeal, Goodrich, and Watson aren't gonna make it.
Even though it's just the preseason I'm glad we won without Francis.Moochie is an important player despite his overdribbling,I hope he recovers quickly. Francis should not play in the rest of the preseason games if he is in pain. Mobley is looking good and I hope Oscar Torres will do well because we do need a backup for the Cat. Boki is still probably just recovering from the injury and needs time to get set.T-Mo and KT are encouraging, but I was happy to see Rice and Mo-T back on the court. We need everyone healthy as soon as possible.
