The Rowdies were great on Sat. nite and that's BS with people complaining about you all standing up, if the people behind you all wanna see the action just stand up and watch as well, not that difficult if you ask me!

The Rowdies do a GREAT job. The difference in the spirit and energy of the arena is obvious. I haven't heard a Rockets home game that loud since the 96-97 playoffs. Great job guys.

wouldn't it be something if the Rowdies made national news and arenas all over the country started copying this idea next season?

To be fair, there were a slew of kids behind us that couldn't see even if they stood on chairs. It's going to be a bad situation no matter what for the year.

I think TC reps would be wise to put up signs warning about the section having obstructed viewing, and listing it as such in ticket sales. I can understand that it's not fun to be surprised by it.

They'd also be smart to cut out some of the high volume songs (Welcome to the Jungle, etc) when coming back from time outs and pipe in mics placed in the Rowdy section

I don't think other teams really need to do this. Our fans were just so lame from previous years that JVG had to buy tix himself.

The teams that are good don't really have this problem as bad as us, IMHO. The ones that do.. well that's because the team suck, so it's rightfully so.

Also I think this already made national news since it was on ESPN. But if anything, this just shows how sad our fans are.

even at the Mavs game there were tons of seats for those people behind you to move to - even move closer. The row behind us in 116 was half empty and I am a 48 inch in the shoulders so I just moved back behind my son and our two STH friends. There are ways to make this thing work. People just have to think outside the box! Hey I think that would be a great advertising slogan.

Lol, that reminded me when i was in london and was in wimbledon. Damn those brits wont show any emotions and the tennis game was so damn quite. It was probably 3000 of ppl in wimbledon and all the games were quite except when nadal was playing against some other argentinian dude. Lol, argetinian fans sure knows how to ignore english and scream :p

^^ thats normal at tennis games, while playing the players need to concentrate and not be disturbed by a loud crowd otherwise you will hear the ref say please be quiet please be quiet :) . After a good point you can ooohh and aaaahhh but be quuiet before the player is going to serve.

anyway GO RR great thing to do, to bad i dont life in the U S of A

What they should do is move the Red Rowdies to the back of the section so nobody can be pissed about being behind them. It won't make much difference where the Rowdies are placed...the noise will still be made, and I really don't think the other fans would mind moving CLOSER to the court. Problem solved because nobody should really have any right to complain just because you're CHEERING. Obstructing their view (for little kids, elderly people, etc.) is different I guess.

The Red & White restaurant paying folks would be the ones to get an up close view of the Rowdies if they were pushed back to the last rows in the section...

I think you are wrong on this. The red and white bistro is on the other end of the Arena. The rowdies are in 114.

Yeah, I guess I got turned around.
Isn't there something going on like private parties behind that section.

Next time just get the red rowdies to film the PR which tells them to shut up. Mail the clip to JVG and T mac and you wont see him/her anymore

    best fans ever

last two years (minus the second half of 2004) watching the rockets on Tv was dreadful not only because the game was slow (espectially last year, it was painful), but also there were no crowd!!!! it was actually quieter than a tennis game, after a good play, tennis fans would cheer!!!

but this year, hearing from the crowd on TV just made my heart pumping!!
    (we were winning...)

    keep on the good work

just hope i could be transferred to houston, sigh

Once you respond to this post, I will start a new thread for you with the title "Kill Bill's thoughts on first 3 games". You can then immediately come in and post the info in the 2nd post.
