Wow, wat a dusche, I am(was) one of EG's biggest supporters, and even wished him well on his next team, but when he goes over ther and goes billy wagner on us, that does it. WTf, steve went on tv and backed himup personally. I guess the idiot took it personally when all teh attention shifted towards Yao and everyone int he Rox org, was treating Yao as the baby, and just tended to forget bout Griff. WEll guess what griff, if you want to hang around in this league, you cant have a babysitter watching you 24/7, get over it and go pull off a Jason Williams.

 

You know he might be right but he should not be talking about his ex teamates. Those guys seemed to support him and now he is doing this. Hope he goes to jail.

Eddie should be ban from the league for his drug use but because he didn’t show up for practice and the Rockets game he avoided the penalty. Thank God for lawyers.

 

I wonder whose decision it was not to pick up Eddie's contract. I mean, even with all the crap, you can't trade him without the contract tieing him down for another year. They could have ridden him on the suspended list until his lawyers made their pleas and then put him in the blocks on rehab duty with the practice squad.

It seems like they just cut him loose to send a message to the other guys.

I agree. I too was one of Eddie Griffin's biggest supporters and forgave him much because of his youth. I try never to speak negatively of anyone, but this report is very, very disappointing. As one human being to another, I still hope Eddie gets his life together, but I am now realizing that his removal from the Rocket roster was best for the team.
