OK... am I just immature or did anyone else chuckle after seeing the words "JVG" and "hard on" in the same sentence?

The sign of a great manipulator is shown when the people being manipulated don't even realize it. Suffice it to say, JVG has succeeded in this regard if you truly believe his recent comments about vspan and the whole situation was handled right by JVG.

Not sure what JVG has done to you in the past.

If a coach tolerates the 12th player on the bench b****ing about play time in public, he should be fired for incompetence. Letting him stay on the team is already quite mercyful.

If a junior employee b****ing about the work he gets are not as important as he expects, he should be sent packing. If a friend of that junior employee is b****ing about such "arrogant" handling, he should get together with that junior and whine together at home.

Well, I already ignored his alter-ego, OMR, which cut down the quotient of senseless stupid JVG-bashing by at least 50%. I will tolerate this twerp for the time being, because it's actually kind of funny. He's like one of those plastic singing fish - after about 2 minutes, you've heard every song it will ever sing. You tune it out and learn not to get too close to it, because that little motion sensor will set it off if you get near it.

Any thread with 'JVG' somewhere in the title is this guy's version of the motion sensor, and here he comes, to sing the same stupid little song he always sings.

I mean seriously, you could probably have a drinking game based solely on posting some random thread with JVG in the title, and then drink based on how soon he shows up, and what negative thing he has to say.

JVG doesn't take that extra step to make in time game decisions like Avery and DAntonio. As I've stated before JVG sticks with his rotation no matter how badly matched up Luther, Rafer, and Bonzi are. The Hawks game is a prime example, the Fro (Childress) posted Rafer or Luther up 3 straight times for buckets or free throws. JVG didn't bother to double team off the least probable scorer. This kept the Hawks up as we try to comeback. It's little things like that, that keep JVG in distance 2nd when comes to coaching

Heh. There's a good reason why luffy1 is the first and only person to land on my ignore list to date.

Remember "George's" trip to the Hamptons? After going along, the Ross's ultimately admit, "frankly George, we don't like you." Sometimes, it just comes down to that.

I think JVG is one of the most knowledgeable basketball people anywhere. Sometimes he is funny. I don't particularily care for his personality. I don't like his approach to motivation. He seems to have "control" issues, a kind of little Napoleon syndrome. He appears very stubborn and rigid. These are all impressions, he may not be this way at all. Nevertheless, I doubt that he will ever be a "popular" coach with the fans like Rudy was.

Already has shown not to tell the whole truth - The whole bonzi fiasco.
Devious - Not playing vspan cause he never wanted him and was one of management's player's.
Arrogant - All his recent comments about vspan ripping him.
Manipulative - Just listen to any of his interviews and how he always likes to twists things and stuff. Just imagine how he is behind closed doors.

A snake can't change its ways cause it's just their nature.

    Or

Vspan is just not good enough right now...i think thats obvious

ripping vspan? hardly, plus he's said he really does like billy numerous times

manipulative? he doesnt necessarily twist things, just looks at them from a different angle. and behind closed doors? well you cant imagine b/c you have no idea.

JVG doesn't take that extra step to make in time game decisions like Avery and DAntonio

maybe, but he also doesnt have the extra talent to take that extra step like those coaches do.

as for the reference to Grunfeld...wow, what a great source.

I think lack of objectivity is the modus operendi of Rupert Murdoch media services.

Back on subject I wonder if Rosen is a Knicks fan? If I was a Knicks fan I would feel about JVG the way that we feel about Quitten. We've all heard how loyal JVG is to his players yet he still quit on his team.

I've never been a JVG fan and still don't like him but winning is winning and as long as the Rox are winning I will put up with JVG and his devious ways.

Well, maybe now they do, but I used to read a Knicks message board when JVG was coach, and there was a ton of complaining about him being stubborn, his offense being excruciatingly predictable, his development of young players non-existent, etc.

    Sounds familiar, doesn't it? :p

I think having Isiah Thomas as GM and coach might've rehabilitated JVG in the eyes of Knicks fans.

You guys really need to get over V-Span. He has done nothing. Proven nothing, except the ability to generate TO's in the few minutes he plays. Then his attitude proves it is all about him. He is not the team player that befits a Rocket's player.

As to JVG, T-Mac and Jon Barry both said that he is the best coach they ever had. I think I will go with that perspective over one disgruntled end of the bench wanna be.

Funny how being 152-239 since he left can change their perspective.
