This is a message board. People leave messages. Opinions, gripes, praise, whatever. People have been playing at home GM since the NBA started. If you people just left, "Oh, everything is ok, the Rox will win next time," messages this place would be boring as hell. Why don't you go to the Sixers fan forum, or the Knicks site. You will see some Class A bashing going on. But you know what? All those bashers will be right in front of the TV watching every game or watching in person. Just because everyone is not a 100% positive fan, please do not confuse them with not being a fan at all.
Yeah, I bet you've been a King's fan ever since CWebb and Vlade showed up, huh? None of the Reggie Theus days for you! We have a right to complain if we wish. Yes it's excessive at times, but only because there is a perceived plethora of talent on this Rockets team. I think 5 years of the same exact mistakes, over and over, are slowly eroding that perception. Yes, they are 13-8, but it's a long season and things have a way averaging out. Now, run along to the King's forum. I seriously doubt you'll be there after their all-stars are retired/traded and the Kings are returned to their rightful place at the bottom of the league. cheers, VL
to an extent our fans do suck, the kings sold out arco even when they sucked. i remember in 93,me and my dad would go to games, two for one with a chronicle coupon, and when everyone one lost faith after the phoenix series, then everyone loved them "all along "after they won it,then abandoned them again in 95 only to "be a fan again" after two staright, then bashing them over the last few years, frustraion is fine but to not be a fan anymore is one thing. i b****ed about lots of things but never did i say "i used to be a fan, when they were good" i cant blame bud adams and hope the titans will it here in houston!! it was hard to an extent to enjoy the titles with all the bandwagoners...
it isn't totally fair either that the diehard Rocket fans have to get lumped together with the fairweather crowd. I have been a Rocket fan since '85 and have watched and paid to have watched the Rockets not only in Houston but across the country and have enjoyed every minute of it. Except when they lost. Any diehard Houston sports fan has had to deal with just as much pain as any other fan but the way our teams have lost has made me question from time to time why I even bother. But every Houston sports team does matter to me becuase for better or worse they represent my town. If anyone out there really believes Rockets fans are fickle and faithless then that's their problem not mine. I know i'm not the only diehard who will probably die a Rocket fan. I'm grateful this site exists because wether good or bad I'm happy so many people are talking about the Rockets in the first place. And the people who whine or complain don't bother me in the least. That's their right.
