Let's really take a look at the Rockets.

We have an all star PG that's a better shooter than passer.

A good center with great potential

A defensive minded but inconsistent SF

An inconsistent SG that doesn't pass

A young and inconsistent PF that's a better outside shooter than inside scorer.

An outside shooter that's past his prime

A PF that doesn't rebound but has a good inside game

A rebounding and shotblocking backup center

Some young and inconsistent forwards off the bench

    Moochie - nuff said

So how much buck is there really? A lot of potential, but a young unproven team.

The Rockets are NOT better than Phoenix. Look at what Phoenix is doing to SA in the first round. This is the same SA that swept the Rockets 4 zip and left them looking like a grease spot on the highway.

You make a great point on how this team stands vis-a-vis the other teams in the Western Conference. The Rockets have gone BACKWARD in the past 6 years. First Dallas and now Phoenix have passed them with Seattle waiting in the wings to do so next season.
